Alot of these poems are about or for my girlfriend, Amanda.
Amanda, My Moon
As sun and moon dance in the sky,
They stay so far apart.
The sun, he loves the moon so much,
It almost breaks his heart.
The only thing that keeps them close,
The stars tie them between.
Yet still the sun weeps to the moon,
She can't be held or seen.
As I sit here and she sits there,
We are so far apart;
As I, I love her so very much,
It almost breaks my heart.
Falling Darkness
The sky outside is darkened;
In swiftly creeps the night.
I only wish to see her,
My true and shining light.
The day is slowly closing,
Coming to an end;
I feel so truly lost without
My best and greatest friend.
She Goes on Vacation
As I sit here staring out my window,
I see the waving trees.
The leaves and branches tremble
With the lazy summer breeze.
As usual, my thoughts, they drift
From here to somewhere far.
I know that who I'm thinking of
Is sitting in a car.
Traveling farther and farther away,
It makes me want to cry.
There's still so long for me to wait,
I guess I'll have to try
Amanda, I Love You
Angel from heaven, sent to me.
Maiden fair, unrivaled beauty.
A flower, bright and blooming;
Not in love, departure looming.
Dream of mine, dream come true,
Angel of mine, I love you.
In my dreams
Life is made of you.
Obsession is my comfort;
Venus has guided me
Even to your heart.
You fill my soul,
Overflowing with love,
Unable to keep you.
Morning Dove
Few the days,
Many the ways,
So little time to spend.
All my love,
My morning dove
Is yours until the end.
I miss you so.
Why must you go?
I cannot bear for you to leave.
I'll wait for you
I will be true
This promise, please believe
(Yes, I realize that it's actually "mourning" not "morning" dove. I changed it because I don't want her to be sad :( )
