If only there were ways to say,
if only I could live this way.
Without you close,
without you here.
I try and hold your hand,
but you pull away, and push at me.
I try and pull you close,
to prove my feelings are so true.
But even in my delusional state,
I see that I am losing you.
Slowly the pain sets in,
like a cancer of the heart.
I wish I could show you,
I wish you could know.
If only the words came out,
like these words I type.
If only they could spill,
from my very battered heart.
If only they could,
if only they would.
I love you,
you're the only one for me.

my dearest one.
