True, but she wouldn't have to use fire directly to do so. She would just have to increase the ambient tempurature of the Arena using her magic, that would create the heat to burn off the mist much like Slash is doing. Slash could probably do it herself, but it would be done a lot more efficiently with fire magic.

Actually, shouldn't water-heavy air be the perfect conducting material for electricity? I'd have thought it would be easy to use to your advantage, given that everyone's mired in it...

Huh? I thought it was cool. Who's to say that the staff isn't made of a fine powder of metal filings held together by electric field-created magnetic fields? That was kind of my original idea. And I had to do it with lighting-quick reflexes because it was a pun I hadn't used yet. Eh? Ha ha.
The morphing staff was the whole gimmick of my character so I didn't have the blandness of just firing lightning bolts for days with little variation.
In fact it was in my character bio for a while until I decided it took up too much space considering that the bios were only supposed to be name and element.
But, yeah it's not going to godmode, I don't think.
It can't disguise itself as a pack of cigarettes, it must always be the same mass. It cant form complex machines or moving parts, it doesn't work that way, but it can form solid metal shapes like knives and stabbing weapons. Eh? No? Ok. Ha ha ha. Peace.

Sorry haven't replied yet, Kell. My computer crashed yesterday, and kept giving me the blue-screen-of-death every time I tried to boot it up. i just now got it working again. Will post within the next 3 hours.

Nice Terminator reference. To make this post not complete spam, I have to say Sate has a point there. A shapechanging staff is definetly not the most powerful ability in this EC.

Hey, Varin? Look mate, uh, no offence or anything, but I am kinda trying to pace myself, you know? So that I have a nice, qualty post? Look, I understand what you're going for there but I'm not exactly a mecha. I don't want to churn out a hundred posts per min, because then Kell would have a good reason to stab me. This statement holds truth, and should DH's character choose to do nothing about the mist, Slash will take advantage of the condition of things. However, as I stated in my post, Slash has picked up some rather feline traits since adopting this form, one of those is an aversion to water, if she can avoid it, she would be more than happy to do so.

Her action doesn't make much sense from a strategic standpoint, yes, but it makes a lot of sense psychologically, that's just how she thinks.

Oh and in case you were wondering Frost is indeed naked except for the sword across his back and a belt around his waste. He just isn't showing anything.

The arena's doors close once all combatants have entered. It's "closed" meaning that no entrants aside from the original eight would have been placed within it... of course, late entries are no longer being accepted.

Silver.. you just turned your back on a maniac... Muse mentioned that he was attacking you, from behind, as your charge ended at me. You swung around and dealt with him, that might not be the best of ideas in the long run...

Post is up, the "sound" is in the inaudible range, below a human's capability for hearing. It is fluctuating wildly through pitch, amplitude, frequency, all that fun stuff. Effect is anyone caught in the cone, (Muse should be fine as Remus is going to follow Flare with it if he DOES perform another miraculous dodge), is going to be EXTREMELY disoriented, dizzy, confused, and nauseated. Might not be able to hear it, but your body is still picking it up.

Sorry Varin, kitty is picking up the reverberations of the sonic attack as it hits the floor/mirrors/etc, she doesn't like, so you get a lightning spear nicely enhanced by the water conduction.

Also, what is this talk of Eriphael being demonic?

He looks like a perfectly normal chappie, only with grey feathered wings. I was trying to veer away from the standard Darkness archetype of big hench black knight/sinister wizened evil mage by having a guy who neither acts nor looks especially evil. :P

Its alright, Kell, I probably should have thought of the effect on a kitten. Poor little thing.

As for Demonic, Muse, think of seeing an apparition, half seen through the mist, with gigantic wings. Would be the first impression, which tends to stick with you. Noticing that he is not, in fact, a fire breathing cloven-hoofed freak.. he will probably still refer to you as such in his mind. Though, I can edit it to "The winged one" if you so like, to avoid confusion.

We now have a mist-free circle with a radius of 15 metres coming up. Any more than that, and Grace will fry herself.

I'll turn to the effects of the heat on Grace in my next post... Provided no-one gets past Slash and attacks her, that is.

The mist free zone has, at the moment, a radius of about 8 metres. It will expand to fifteen in my next post. Figured I didn't want it to expand too quickly.

But Demonhunter, just how large is this chamber in the first place? I was picturing a rather smaller room- far less than fifteen meters, which intrigues me into wondering just how large the room really is, or perhaps, the general consensus.

I'm really sorry I must have left it out in this draft of the post but my character is a lizard man and not human. Just thought you should know of my mistake. I will correct it in the second post tomorrow.
