If you play DF, and you hate farming for experience in DF, you should know who I am. However, this time, I'll be making the experience guide for MQ!

Table of Contents Coming Soon!
Introduction to MQ Farming
In the AE games, when you farm, you intend to receive a resource or value multiple times over large amounts. In this guide, we'll be focusing on how to farm EXP. DO NOT COME HERE for Credit farming, as the two could be very different!

As you know, different levels have different advantages and different quest opportunities. So, the guide will be broken up into different level sections.
EXP Farming - Levels 1-5
I know for a fact that as soon as you guys get Level 3, you'll want to land that stupid ship. Well, I don't think you should. Not yet.

Non-SC: Well, it's pretty basic here with the Newbatron. What you want is to use the Battle button for a good amount of time. Getting Credits at the same time will help you get better weapons from Tek's shop. Get some there, and get ready to battle the Strange Blip. When you defeat him, you'll want to battle him again. And again. And again, until you reach Level 5. He's good up to there. DON'T buy the Level 3 Mecha from Tek's Shop; go to Soluna City and choose one from there instead.

SC: All Star Captains get 200 NGs bonus with their upgrade. If you're a Star Captain already, then you got a good advantage here: Get the Kurosawa Okamoto from Tek's Mechs. Now here's the catch: You need to reach Level 5 within 24 hours. Doing this will give you a very good NG sellback on the Kurosawa. Other than that, farm to Level 5 using the Strange Blip. Don't land until you're Level 5.
EXP Farming - Levels 6-10
NOW you guys can land from that stupid ship. Welcome to Soluna City! There are many paths you can take here, now, to get experience. Let's go through each one, from the western half of Soluna to the eastern.

The Museum - Overall, not too good, but still okay for farming. However, the fact that you might run into one of the most hated bugs in the desert, and the fact that the whole thing is very tiring, might not make this the best place for farming.

The Knife and Spork - ULTIMATE, #1 place for farming! Up to a certain level, though. :) Some people still have a few second thoughts about this, due to the number of battles. However, in both EXP and Credits, the K+S is a terrific place!

The Soluna Police Department - Most aspects of the SPD make me think "This shouldn't even be worth being called an experience farming spot." :D However, the Mega Lupus fight (after you retreive Clue #14) is a nice alternative for the K+S or Hospital, if you can't use those. It also gives good Credits for your level.

Hospital - Another #1 place for farming, also has a max level for good EXP rewards like the K+S. Most people claim this to be better than the K+S at EXP farming at these low levels. However, it's not just the Hospital in general; it's the Autopsy mission that helps you, as icemanx says, "go from level 3-12 in under a day".

Mecharoni - Nope, not that good, just here for pizza goodness. :)

GEARS University - Eh...it's mostly the Mecha Piloting 101 (the stat training class) that helps here, but not too much. Warlic's office's quests aren't that good, since they're really just storyline quests.

Star Captain Club - No way, Josè. Only that level 30 challenge is good there, but you're only level 5!!!
EXP Farming - Levels 11-15
EXP Farming - Levels 16-20
EXP Farming - Levels 21-25
EXP Farming - Levels 25-30
EXP Farming - Levels 30-33
Update Log/Credits

Update Log - The Update Log will be used as soon as the guide is sent for approval.

Shocka -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/29/2009 0:33:14)

Level 30-33:

Battle Button- around 2100 per run
Knife and Spork- around 30k per run
Big Bad Broncho- 2000 per run

PD -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/29/2009 15:34:44)

^K&S give 28K credits each run.

Jokester -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/29/2009 17:03:49)

28k is for challenge 10 not every is that far.(including me)

SlyCooperFan1 -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/29/2009 19:57:06)

Guys, this is an EXP farming guide, not a Credit farming guide. The EXP is 4000, the credits are 28000. There's a difference there, and 4000 is not even suitable for Level 26. That's where the K+S begins to not work out that well.

Nixkreig -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/30/2009 10:39:59)

The single best place to farm for high-level players (above 25) is Lagos because the enemies are worth 5%more exp. and credits while they have the same HP and EP and damage range as most mechas scaled that high, although they have more specials, if you use specials too you should be fine.

fiery wolf -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/30/2009 19:04:57)

i agree with nixkreig: from 30 onwards farming at gark (skipper or captain zack) or lagos is good (previous missions) since you can kill them fast enough
at level 25 you can do it too but it's faster to do K&S runs (as far as i see)

Icy -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (3/30/2009 21:03:36)

SlyCooperFan1
There are just a couple of things I can think of right now.
Since you said EXP farming, I would HIGHLY recommend the Hospital Autopsy. You can go from level 3-12 in under a day doing that.

16-20. K&S 7 is the best, I went to many locations and timing-wise, it was the best. (Yes, I used a level 16 mech)

Necrophades -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/1/2009 20:22:40)

One of my personal favorite places for farming at level 26 and 27 is the Evil Corp Space Station on Westion. 100 floors isn't that great because of on-foot fights, but the Star Captain challenge battle against Extreme Mr. Z is very good with the right equipment. It's an older form of Extreme mode, simply having more Boost and better stats, little more HP and not much more damage than a normal level 25 enemy. The Extreme mode gives 280 exp. It's also very fast because you are instantly repaired every time you enter the fight. You can just ignore the repair button.

The new Braddock Steele area for Star Captains will probably be a hugely productive zone for levels 3-18 later on, but the swarm fight I don't see as having much advantage over the battle button. The heal pad is a lot slower than a repair button, and the huge number of enemies don't make up for that. Even using a level 30 mecha it took me forever to beat it because it's just so boring. I think it will take a few more releases to decide if it's worth anything yet.

ogrejaja -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/2/2009 4:04:33)

Level 6-10 put in the Mega Lupus (Clue number 14)
It's excellent exp+gold (100, 500) for a 140 HP mech.
It's even good for higher levels.
Edit: Mistaken in clue number. Now correct.

debilas -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/2/2009 9:34:21)

Skiper and Captain Zack at gark are also wery good for exp. At lvl 30 they olny have 383hp and they 315exp

ogrejaja -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/2/2009 9:59:09)

Level 21-25:
K&S challenge level 10, Big Bad Broncho (Westion planet).
I started writing like 10 lines, and then I thought, "Why? He's not taking opinions seriously".

SlyCooperFan1 -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/2/2009 16:03:30)

@ogrejaja: Of course I take opinions seriously! However, I have a life as well, and don't have that much time to read and edit this guide as fast as I thought I would. Things have been spiraling out of control in my life atm, and I have put this at the bottom of my priority list for now.

turnoverman -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/2/2009 21:11:08)

at lvl 30 when you begin to be able to destroy the K&S guys a LOT faster than normal guys it is actually becomes better than the battle button and the SC club is bad for xp period... rewards are scaled to hard and the enemys are scaled to xtreme

PD -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/6/2009 15:58:29)

The thread Starter has said that he's stopping his work on this guide, so I guess it's free to make a new thread owner, and post.

SlyCooperFan1 -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/6/2009 18:48:33)

Yeah, anyone who wants to take over the Experience guide can, I can't work on it anymore.

I changed it to a code of the formatting, so if anyone wants to continue what I had started, they can use that code.

fiery wolf -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/9/2009 1:14:41)

k taking over.

The Game -> RE: Experience Farming - MQ Style! (4/9/2009 2:09:08)

fiery wolf is taking over this guide. Locked to prevent further posting.
