What should I do to help

Aaronrules380 -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:50:04)

I got this when I reflected text b’uunxdgsc’ddqzlrqspjlI.ugjl
and after reversing I get ljgu.Iljpsqrlzqdd’csgdxnuu’b

Nickwright -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:50:33)

the second to last braille letter means apostrophe not capitol Nex =P

Nex del Vida -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:52:47)

Really? It's number 6 in the numericized grid, which = capital... apostrophe is number 3.

Aaronrules380 -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:53:38)

Unless it is a vigenere I doubt nick is completely correct do to the dd in it

Nickwright -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:54:33)

It means apostrophe

_ _
_ _
_ o Makes Capital

_ _
_ _
o _ Makes Apostrophe

Plushie -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 18:59:57)

couldnt be a substitution cypher because letter frequencies are:
L - 3
D - 3
U - 3
Q - 2
S - 2
G - 2
J - 2
R - 1
P - 1
I - 1
C - 1
N - 1
X - 1,
B - 1
Z - 1

not enough quantities of vowels

tomy 2222 -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 19:19:59)

im getting: Hitafdoo's something, dont think thats something tough

Lkeas -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 19:30:48)

Just for archive's sake, here's the transcription:

Eldron: Have you had any luck discovering a new message?
Falerin: I am afraid not. It seems that the Network, like the Warpforce, has grown more subtle.
Eldron: Mayhaps you are overlooking something?
Falerin: It is possible I suppse.
Eldron: It would hardly be the first time.
Falerin: And what is that supposed to mean?
Eldron: Oh... nothing....
Falerin: Well if there is a clue. I cannot see it. I have looked forward and backward in my search.
Eldron: I am sure it's no reflection on you that you cannot find it.
Falerin: Your dripping sarcasm wounds me....
Eldron: What can I say. I learned from the best.

Oh, and Nick's got the Braille right as far as I can tell, that's what I got as well. It's difficult to tell where the single dot falls, whether it's a "capital" or "apostrophe," but if you overlay a grid on top of the message you'll see how it matches up.

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 21:04:03)

it is braille yes, but he said reflected.....

The dragon helps again :) This looks like something that will help us to decipher this code.

it gives us select braille letters, that might help aid us.

Endrance -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 22:05:35)

Just a question, but what is the IRC channel for this mystery discussion?

Falerin -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 22:08:26)

They seem to gather in #mystery at the moment.

Endrance -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 23:32:34)

Oh and Dragon, I'm Endrance

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/24/2009 23:35:30)

got you added Endrance.

this seems interesting.

Lord Asrius -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 1:48:27)

I don't think it's a palindrome, because...
Actually scratch that. Maybe he's encoded it with some special palindrome-based code?
Also, how did whoever get that message into the stars in the first place? Selectively messing with star systems? Sounds like a bit much to send a message to one planet.

Kuld -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 5:25:57)

*sigh* I won't be of any help here, I'm afraid...Good luck though.

Eldron -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 9:15:31)

Marshmallows, Hmmmmm

Vorlaufige Emissionsprospekte

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 9:18:41)

"Preliminary emission prospectuses"?

Eldron -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 9:19:54)

Messing with a star system? That assumes: 1. The message medium is actually stars. 2. The message is meant for one planet, or even this planet, 3. The stars are what you should be looking at.

Interesting concept.

Falerin -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 9:43:52)

One of those things is not like the other.

Plushie -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 10:44:12)

???

Im certain you TWO are evil >.>>.<<.<

.Discipline -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 11:01:48)

I think I might get involved from here on in.
I took the liberty of recreating the message in the sky as actual Braille for an easier reference that can be manipulated.

http://img79.imageshack.us/img79/6128/braillemystery.png

Also, here is something I have noticed.

'I have looked forward and backward in my search.'
'Well I am sure that is no reflection on you.'

Also, for some reason, there is an 'o' missing from one of the times Falerin says 'suppose'. It's a far shot, but that could mean something.

We need to look at this from all different angles, if you get my meaning.

Lord Asrius -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 11:42:11)

Eldron: Wouldn't the stars look different from another planet? Although if 1 is wrong then I suppose that could be too...
But what then? Fireflies?

Nex del Vida -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 11:54:53)

I don't think he means the medium is important... I think he means it's not meant for one group of people, like Fal said with the grid puzzles. Anyone could do it with the right tools.

Someone try the message in a Vigenere with that Dutch thing Eldron said.

Marshmallows are somehow important.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= A Mystery Continues (6/25/2009 12:00:50)

^It's German, not Dutch.

Do you want that in German or in English as the key for the Vigenere?

Neither work.
