Seahawk -> =WF= Bug Forum Rules (7/3/2009 14:35:00)

In order to make the Bug forum as useful as possible, we ask that you keep the following rules in mind before you post:

Follow all Universal Forum Rules regarding forum behavior. This means no cursing, flaming, spamming, etc...

Please read the existing threads before you post your bug. It may have already been reported. Unless you have additional information, there's no need to report something multiple times.

Bug threads are not meant for discussion. There's no need to post things like "That happened to me too!" or "Yeah! that's really annoying!"

Please use the templates located in the initial post in the thread for the bug you are reporting. This helps us gather the most accurate information possible, which makes it much easier to find and fix the bugs you report.

Don't use your sig when posting bug reports. All sigs do is clutter up the thread

If posting a screenshot, please just post a link. Use the [link][/link] tags, not the [image][/image] tags.

Only post your bug in one thread, preferably the most applicable thread. For example, if you're doing a quest and see a typo in one of the monster descriptions, you don't need to post it in the typo thread, the monster thread, AND the quest thread. Just the typo thread will suffice.

Please do not use these threads to report abusable bugs. Abusable bugs are bugs that would provide you with an unfair advantage, or can be exploited in some way. These should be reported via PM and not posted publicly.

The Bugs forum is not meant to be a complaints department. Reporting bugs here is fine, but demanding that something be fixed immediately or posting "WHY ISN'T THIS FIXED YET?" is counter-productive and unacceptable.

Also, there are a few things you can do before posting that will make troubleshooting much easier for us:

Try clearing your browser cache. Many issues can be fixed by clearing cache to make sure you have the lastest game files and not old information. You should also refresh (using F5 or the Refresh/reload button) or restart your browser after clearing cache. To clear your cache in various browsers, do the following:

Internet Explorer (IE): Tools -> Internet Options -> General -> Click 'Delete Files' under Temporary Internet Files
Firefox: Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Click 'Clear' under Cache
Opera: Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> History -> Empty now

Try to duplicate the bug. If you can re-create the bug a second time, or on another character, it helps to determine that it wasn't just a one-time fluke occurrence.

When taking a screenshot, try to use a high resolution and make sure it clearly shows the bug you are posting. If possible, you can also crop the picture to show only the relevant information (for example, we don't need a screenshot of your entire desktop if you play in a smaller window). If you need help taking a screenshot, you can find instructions here.

Make sure your bug is really a bug. Check on game updates and other available information. For example, maybe that monster is SUPPOSED to be draining your MP instead of your HP...
