I never said it would be taken away from him, I just said it was unfair. He seems to think, though, becuase he has the armor, he is now entitled to playing in Beta. Which isn't so.

Is there a current max stat cap? Or can you train more than 20 in a skill? Or is 20 the max for beta?

The stat cap is 200, like in AQ. The level cap of course limits that to 50. You're probably just encountering the training cost bug that is making it hard to get the stats trained up.

The bug where an Adventurer got into beta... I think I know what caused that, but it isn't something I will say here. Regardless, Adventurers should not have access, and managing to get in, make a character, and get a beta rare does not mean they should retain that access they shouldn't have had in the first place.

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:19:08)

It seems to me that gunner specials have a tendency to be magic. so a guner would perhaps use dex and int?

ChrisX -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:20:14)

@ Gen
I actually know how adventures got in, but like you, I don't want to say. Although even if i said it, what I think caused it, no adventurer should get in, even if i say.

Beowolve -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:26:21)

Lordtomato: At the moment Dex does not increase range damage, but you could train Int because it helps with magic damage.

Goldstein -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:33:01)

Lordtomato: Str. Is also critical, because, even though the specials do magic, the more common regualr attack is either "usually" melee or ranged, with Str. contributes to. You might want to have Str. be your dominant stat, with Int. being your secondary stat for magic specials and skills. Dex. increases the likelyhood of attacks hitting and the chance of dodging, so it is a worthwhile stat to invest into. Your final stat count might want to be : Str. 200, Dex. 200, End. 200, and Int. 50.

Genoclysm -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:34:34)

Maybe if you wanted to be a Striker with more MP than usual...

JPHL -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:35:45)

I logged in and it said that I had reached the current warptracker level cap become a warpguardian to train further. does that mean there will be a higher level cap for upgraded characters?

Burn -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:37:33)

JPHL Upgraded Characters will have a +10 Level cap, it has been said. So if you were a WG at the mo, your cap would be L20.

Genoclysm -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:37:35)

It looks like that will be the WF restriction rather than a server cap. If that is what is done, then Adventurers might be able to log on at any time. Personally I would find a level restriction much better than being unable to log in whenever I wanted.

Goldstein -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:37:46)

JPHL: Uh, yes, that's why Guardians in AQ can reach level 130, and free players can only reach level 120.

Edit: Whoops, looks like I was a touch late.

Double edit: Brun just pm'ed, and I'm wrong about my above comments. Sorry to anyone who may have quoted me on this.

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:38:01)

heh, well I'm a striker, and totally thought dex contributed to range damage...
my char: http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=63239019
:/

Goldstein -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:40:34)

Lordtomato: Nope, if you read the stat description, you'll see, Dex. contributes no damage...I think...let me check...*five minutes later* Yup! I was right! Dex. does nothing for damage.

I'm quite certain you are wrong and AQ Adventurers can reach level 130 as well.

What the stats do in WF is a little different from AQ. I cannot tell you how they are different yet because there is a chance things may change. The ones behind programming and balance want to be certain they want the stats this way before releasing the information. I can say that the stat explanation list is missing at least one item, though I can't say what it/they are. You can trust what is on it to be correct at least.

Gerald -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 14:56:46)

yes you go to "the bridge" and talk to Queen Pra'Mithia and click on warpforce saga, and then on the missions side click "JOIN THE WARPFORCE!"- Mission. :)

master thade -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:09:36)

i wonder what death 2.0's scyth will be like

Shadowlord9k -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:19:38)

um where is temuras trust and the beam sword

Goldstein -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:21:18)

Shadowlord: Temuras is the girl in Warpguardian Tower floating above the spaceship, and the beam sword can be bought after the intro, which can be played by clicking on WP saga from the Drakel queen in the bridge.

@zombiekiller1, if you check out the bugs thread, the trainer issue has been noted but not fixed yet. I think a lot of us are in the same boat

since i can't get str to 20 i put 5 on end so i now have 15 str,15 dex and 15 end where should i put my last 5

Burn -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:22:24)

Shadowlord9k Temura's Trust is obtained when you visit the Guardian Tower and with Temura, click "Tell me about yourself". Its at the end shop. Which beam sword? Its probably in the Intro Shop which is gotten by going to Pra'Mithia and choosing to replay the Introduction again.

Shadowlord9k -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:22:44)

okay thanks

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:31:39)

zombiekiller1: The problem with stat training is that it costs more than it says. Therefore, simply farm a lot of gold and then train your stats. It will not bug. However, if you don't wish to do this, place it in LUK. It gives defense, damage, and initiative.

Goldstein -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:41:32)

Uh, Orodalf, I don't think it costs more than it says anymore. I tested it CAREFULLY, and I saw no additional gold loss.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:42:17)

There is an additional gold loss. Log out and then back in and you will see it.

zombiekiller1 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! (Question and Answer Thread) (7/5/2009 15:57:39)

@ArchMagus Orodalf

if that is the case how much is it to train from 15 to 20 and is 9 gold the most you get from a fight now

here is my char i think i have all the best stuff in the game at moment
