Ok, let me start at the beginning. The Paxia Scouts came out in-game and on IRC. Paxia was swarming with rumors, and the scouts on the forums, were people who found out the names of the 5 new clans from IRC. As soon as I heard Glacius was going to be the clan of ice, my mind was fixed. Then we saw the picture of the reformed Paxia(now my wallpaper), and smack dab in the center was a grand fortress of Ice, just another reason I chose Glacius. Then came the thursday night at approximately 7:30 server time, the clan were released in-game and the sub-forums created on the paxia board. I went to the Glacius sub forum, at the same time my main was joining in-game, and for the first time ever I read all those important stickies. Now there are alot more, but still... I didn’t have enough free time to be responsible for an entire clan member list, so I just made a simple little welcome thread, which surprisingly still lives today. Azerkail came and made the roster, so I was the first on to join it, besides Azerkail himself. I’m the first post there if you look. He has created several other important and noteable threads now. Next came Lord Ouranos. He is responsible for creating the GHC. He made the applications thread, and later created the GHC thread, after he picked all of the members. 

Meanwhile, Eternal Chaos was busy creating the elaborate private forums, which I am the second member on, aside from Eternal Chaos. I run them now, but sadly they no longer have very much activity, but 64 members have joined presently! 

I was so happy to see how many people joined in the first few hours of the release. And some famous people too. I could never have imagined such a great community.

Okay... Hmm... 

When Glacius came out, I saw it as an opportunity to take what observations I saw of past clans and apply it in a new clan to make it as successful as it could be. Plus, as soon as I saw that polar bear, I was in love. How cool is it to have a flipping polar bear as your clan leader? Awesome. I also saw that Glacius was drawing in many good members and forumers, and excuse the idiom, but I had to jump on this bandwagon most definitely. 

In the formation of the first GHC, we intended it to be a temporary solution to the lack of administration for this clan. We basically were going to slap something together so that we could be ready for the first wars (which, in retrospect, did not really work out that good, but we did lay down a very good foundation, I think). I personally suggested the name Glacius High Command instead of council as a symbol of our breaking from other clan traditions of "councils" and such. I also started up the first stickies and bounced ideas with the early GHC (Siege, Lord O, and the like). While we sorta fell into that "renamed council syndrome", the GHC preformed better than I could have hoped, honestly; sorta like the Articles of Confederation of the early American Colonies: it worked okay for a while, but it needed to change. What we're seeing now is a shift and change to what I think is a better system, more power in the people than the administration. 

As for today? 4th in ranking, 1st, I believe, in coherence. Sure, we've had our deserters, betrayers, and other people who left, but our clan seems to have knack for consistently great members. What each and every one of our members bring to the giant table of talents for Glacius is going to make us number 1 one day in ranking. But as the theory of evolution states, it will take time. I'm just glad we're making good time already.

After 2 Years of leaving AQ I come and find myself in a vast land of quests and items. Then I saw Paxia and went hmmm . . This looks interesting. So i join Glacius because I like Ice. Then I discovered the forums. and the paxia forum and I was confused about it all. Then Serbitar came and helped me know a little bit more about Paxia and Glacius. But yeah, it was a little inactive at the time but all that changed in time. 

[i]Serbitar:[/i] I joined as the 108th Glacian forum member, and at the time Glacius was dead. I'd just been in Dynami and the members there weren't very nice to me so of course, I was wary of other forumites. The GHC had deserted the clan and nobody seemed to post except for me and Mystic Endevor in the CCC thread. Then two others joined Snowstorm 13 (present day Apocalyptic) and Dream 27. We revived Glacius through posting and making threads to post in. Eventually we were elected into the GHC. Glacius became active again and I hope we'll stay that way.

[i]Demonstar:[/i] I was a fairly active clan member in the original 3 clans choosing the Air Clan as my home. Then right after the clan war my activity dropped to null. After a year (or two) of inactivity I came back realizing my cookie was still there for me to use. I then relized that new clans had come out so i started testing out the clans for a month switching between all the new clans until I realized that the clan of fire, Igneus, was the place for me. After a couple months I discovered the forums. I immediatly joined Igneus and became one of the few very active members on there. Though Igneus wasnt enough. I started sifting through different forums and eventually the danger of Glacius drew me in. Knowing that at anymoment I could freeze over I started posting in Glacius. From there I became an active member of Glacius, though not able to fully participate in all clan events such as GHC elections though I was able to vote. Now im the Magical Ice Cweem of Doom and a walker of both sides. Fire and Ice. 

[i]Riyar[/i]: I remember clearly the day Glacius came out. I sat at a school PC, checked out the homepage, and Ca-pow - More clanz! I rushed in, eager to check, and after approx. 10 minutes of checking I had the word "Glacius" under my character page. I had to be here. Next up, rushing to the forums. I was a part of the GHC at the first (Not very much elections, just "Can I joi- YOU*RE IN!" pretty much, hehe) Well, I came into the War sector, which we actually believed was needed back then. So, I became a part of the clans for pretty much 6 months, during that time I experienced the GHC change, The CoT's rise and fall, and a LOT of other clan stuff. When I left tempoarily 5 months ago, I resigned from the GHC and put Bobby (the dragon, back then) in Snowstorm's (Now apocalyptic) hands and left. At the retun, I found the forums pretty burned down by teh mods, and a lot of our post count lowered... Well, here I stand, returned. I hope you'll take me back here ^^

When I joined these forums, just over half a year ago, I went straight away to find the clan section. I had only just found Paxia in-game and I had no idea which clan to join. I looked through all the clans on the forum, judging which ones seemed most friendly and what I liked best. I was tempted by Nocturu, but after much soul-searching I came to Glacius. As I was helped into those first few days by a few members (Serbitar helped a lot) I found that the Clan I had chosen, though full of helpful people, was on the brink of collapse. I was one of the three active people in the whole forum (SID - Snowstorm (Me), Illuvitar (Serb) and Dream). The rest of the clan was gone. The GHC was an empty husk of inactive members and even our leader (Lord Ouranos) was gone, and it seemed unlikely Glacius would ever be the great clan it had the potential for. And so it was that SID posted and posted, keeping that little spark of life in Glacius going, until finally, new faces started to appear, and we even began to convert members of other clans *looks significantly at Rico*. We have controlled a number of operations and projects to try and bring Glacius back into the world of the living, including the Clan Stats thread, the Bobby thread, Operation Global Warming, the Temple of the Penguin and many more. Though we did not personally form all of these threads, we found them often simply falling into our hands, as the previous owners left the forums, or gave them up out of boredom. Thus, SID (which has through a couple of name changes now become SAD) revived Glacius and continues its constant fight to maintain our activity.

[size=4][i]Onwards to the Present[/i][/size]
As Glacius was growing, more and more members became active and joined this clan.  Soon the third election was held and a new council was re established.  The clan during the Third reign was lead by Serbitar the new leader after the resignation of Ricobabie.  The other commanders took other's places as they were elected for.  Starting then and there, as the school year in reality came in, less and less people became active.  This may be call the great depression that occured in Glacius.  Soon most of the GHC became pre occupied with their real life and Glacius slipped into a deep slumber.  Sleeping for a long time, the next election arrived as the new GHC structure arose.  Only 3 high commanders were made as The Grand leader, Serbitar made a final decision before his leave.  Before long, Ricobabie came back and was once elected for a high commander along with dream 27 and Lord of Ice.  The three still continue to govern Glacius.  Till now, the great depression and hibernation had not stopped but to continue on steadily foward.  Hopefully one day the ones lost will return.

Lord Ouranos was one of the first to join the Glacius clan. Coming from Aerodu, he had the experience and the skill to lead Glacius. Ouranos suggested forming a council and called it the GHC. At the time, Glacius was buzzing with members from all three of the first clan, mainly Nautica, and the applications came flooding in. The GHC was large and eventually, as the events did not come, the members drifted away leaving the GHC with taken positions from inactive members. He was left with Azerkail as his only active commander to re-elect a GHC. He promoted J_bn to Commander and SAD to various positions throughout the GHC. However in the sub-coucils, inactivity was still a problem that echoed into the clan. 
Tensions came to a head as Lord Ouranos was banned from the forums and Azerkail becam inactive leaving the GHC in the control of J_bn. When Ouranos returned, he found that Glacius was in uproar and certain members were acting very rudely towards him, blaming him for the state of the clan and he left. With the efforts of Rico and Serbitar he returned once more to find that the GHC had been reset and clan head nominations were taking place. The shortlist was as follows:

As the elections dawned upon Glacius, Lord Ouranos flew ahead of the other nominees and, in a landslide victory, became High Chief of Glacius. He was a fine leader who always had a friendly ear for his followers. Eventually Lord Ouranos' inactivity forced him to resign from his position and hand over responsibility to Ricobabie. 
Lord Ouranos was a great leader and friend to every member of Glacius. Never did he disrespect a fellow member, rank himself above anyone or ignore the ideas of his subjects. He was patient when his colleagues weren't and friendly to all.

[b]J_bn's Bio (As told by Serbitar):[/b]
J_bn joined Glacius early on. He joined, just after the 5 clans were released, defecting from Nautica as many Nauticans did. He was a mildly active member who quickly became a member of one of the three Glacian sub-councils. However as the hype around the new clans died along with the hope of any events, the council members became inactive. In the 1st reform, J_bn was promoted to commander in place of the former Aerodian, Xarymandias. As Azerkail had less time to give and Lord Ouranos suffered a temporary ban, Glacius was in the hands of J_bn. 
It was in this period that the rebellion took place, the clan was almost torn into war parties but J_bn was determined ths would not happen. With his cool mood and endless patience, J_bn organized for the GHC to be reset and all the nominations, elections and applications were organized by him alone. 

J_bn also ran for clan head but finished third. After this loss J_bn became less and less active. He then announced that he was defecting to WoW and never returning. Glacius was gutted to lose one of its best members but will nver forget him. His calm facade, patient attitude and unrelenting will to hold our clan together, makes him deserving of a place in the hearts of ever Glacian and a spot on the Hall of Fame.

[b]Ricobabie's Bio (As told by Rico):[/b] 
Travelling through the blistering winds and the cold nights of Paxia (well not that dramatic :P), Ricobabie finally found a home. A home called Glacius. For months she spent her time in Nocturu, the clan of darkness. Being in the council she's done many great things for Nocturu but soon nothing was left for her to do. With a warm heart she decided to become the first Paxian Nomad to help the other clans. Her journey lasted a couple months helping out the clans which were inactive. But soon, she grew closer to Glacius. As the next event was coming, she decided to make the biggest decision of her forum life. She joined Glacius. In the beginning she was voted in as the 4th commander of the GHC, then elected as Chancellor then became Clan Head, as Lord O resigned. T_T Oragnizing and started projects in Glacius, she continued to work hard to bring Glacius back, especially with the help of the rest of the clan. Soon her journey was coming to an end as she left the GHC. With other things pre-occupying her life, her only decision was not to run for GHC but to trust and leave the responsibilities to her trustworthy clan members. So Glacius continues to run smoothly as she watches closely from the distance, praying for peace and success for Glacius.

[center]KarenC was a long time member of Glacius, leader at one point. She was very much devoted to making sure that Glacius and indeed Paxia itself remained active. She was a fairly active member who always welcomed the newcomers to Glacius. She had long searched for somewhere she could call home, Glacius was home. She was a Glacian through and through, she had always been a friendly person and she shared that with Glacius. Glacius was soon hit with a strike of inactivity, all was quiet... She continued to search for activity, yet all was quiet. She broke the silence and Glacius became active once more. She was elected clan head at some point in her stay with Glacius, this meant she had lots to do with certain activities to keep track of to help Glacius thrive. She did so, Glacius was remained active for the being. Eventually it was time for her to end her journey, she had stepped down from Clan Head. She left the position open to another trustworthy Glacian member. With time comes a whole new group a Glacians, she knew this yet she trusted in her heart the next lot would be as good as the first. She became increasingly less active, until eventually she wasn't seen around Glacius. She had changed the Glacius clan forever and she knew it. She left happy knowing the responsibilities would be handed down to someone just as fitting, someone who could carry on just as well as she did. Her journey ended... But she still watches over Glacius. [/center]

The Glacian Head Council coalition is Glacius's "governing" body which tends to focus on a Republic system. The GHC has no actual power alone, rather it has power only because the members are willing to follow and give them said power. The GHC uses a voting system to receive its members, each with their own duties. They speak for Glacius and its opinions as well as what is best for Glacius, however they aren't always right. And they're lazy =P Originally founded by Count Krisarius, the Council idea is still popularly used.

We had commanders who acted as leaders, the original ones were: Lord O, Azer and Xarymandias. Xarymandias was replaced by J_bn. Then we had a political reform in which we introduced the clan head position, Lord O won the vote for the position in a landslide majority vote. He passed it on to Rico and I won it in a vote.
