I don't understand how.

I think I just translated part b but it looks like
spoiler:

pig latin
(or would that be gibberish)
spoiler:

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 20:14:14)

*coughspoilertagspleasecough*

spoiler:

Yes, it's pig latin with something else in it as well. There was a hint on IRC: Fikon.

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 20:16:32)

spoiler:

fikon
was the clue?

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 20:17:13)

Well,

spoiler:

fikonspråket, actually.

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 20:48:25)

does anyone besides me find it strange that the first part of my name appears? What an odd set of circumstances.

The one that (this is before the final quiz) that had me stumped cold turkey(besides the one referring to Eldron's owl) was that little Eye creature from Kirby. For the longest time I kept staring at that and saying, what the heck is that thing? lol.

Plushie -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 21:21:18)

well now we know it is "Just dark matter"

Oh and, since they are too hard to understand Ill take the green hats out

spoiler:

maybe put in a few black or white ones

The above spoiler isnt a clue

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/1/2009 23:13:37)

@above: it is quiet an interesting way to speak isn't it? I'm still working on but I'll have to finish it in the morning. i have to say, it is pretty straight foreword but if your heading in the wrong direction you'll never get there.

EDIT : Was there a typo in part F?

I need some help making sure I translated part A correctly.

I'm stuck now.

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 20:44:43)

IIRC, yes, there was a typo in Part F. There was also one in Part G.

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 20:50:38)

How can I get around the typos?

ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 21:25:42)

Guess. Part G was largely guessed, in any case.

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 21:32:05)

Looks like part g will be a pain then sense I don't even know how to translate it.

goron link8 -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 22:25:32)

I wonder if thepet will be given to any who solve it within a secret deadline or when all 25 slots are filled

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 22:30:41)

I think that once the 25 slots are filled everyone else will be out of luck. we can still dream though huh?

Phoenix Angel -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 22:53:07)

ugh, I was doing well before the weekend and then I had no internet where I had gone.....I better start from where I was last at.
Is there any good way to use to aid in solving these ciphers?

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/2/2009 23:09:05)

The previous puzzles are essential for solving this so i would suggest using this, this and this

Lkeas -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/3/2009 3:52:29)

Those are good resources, mluther [:)] Puzzle #8 in Nex's archive is especially relevant for one of the quiz questions. Might I suggest some more helpful tools that we used on IRC to translate?

Binary/hex/base64/decimal decrypters: http://home2.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/

Cryptogram solver: http://www.blisstonia.com/software/WebDecrypto/

Vigenere cipher decrypter: http://sharkysoft.com/misc/vigenere/

Unit converter: http://www.unitconversion.org/unit_converter/numbers-ex.html

Easy way to get onto IRC for help from other cryptonauts: http://www.aqstats.com/chat.php
(once you are online, type /join #mystery)

If you can't use Java, try other IRC clients here: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=16069653

Good luck, all!

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/3/2009 10:56:33)

I got that one but I'm stuck on part B. (and yes, I'm using the unit converter)

Lord Asrius -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/3/2009 19:36:18)

Are you sure you're converting them the right way?

mluther -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/3/2009 20:57:27)

I'm pretty sure i wasn't but i got that now. i'm trying to decipher the giberish that is part E. there are so many typos
now all i need to do is clear part F of typos and do part G and then I'm done!

BlueDude -> RE: =WF= The Final Mystery Quiz (8/4/2009 12:26:52)
