I have a question about AK's/Mods:
I PM'd Skydrite a while ago regarding necro bumping a thread in the AQWG&D and he said he isn't AK of that forum anymore. So I'm asking: can a mod retire?

From what I know, yes they can. I believe you just send a request to the Head Admin. and request for retirement. (Not a hundred percent sure though). By the way, skydrite now handles things in the AQ section on the forum, he just switch from AQW to AQ. You will have to PM an AK who moderates in the AQW GD, those are the one who can help you.

It'd be cruel if you wouldn't be allowed to step down from your position even if real life issues become unbearable. :P

So yeah, If you feel that you wouldn't be able to do the things that you should be doing I'm sure you can take a break. No one's going to force you to stay. Oh and all AK's have powers in AQW GD so if your problem requires immediate attention then you can poke any AK's or Mods.

Ah alright. But if they do retire/take a break, are they still AK's/have AK powers (like uploading their own avatars) or will they become normal members again?

If you step down then you're not an AK anymore. No more "AK powers" and you become a normal member again but uploading your own avatar stays with you as this isn't really part of "AK powers".
