ironman550 -> RE: Just something I wanted to say... (11/25/2009 22:33:13)

i have still seen a couple good threads getting locked because of mods supposedly "overusing their powers" and i still 100% back up 135 and the other supporters.
I know the mods have stated the last time i made a post what i should do but it doesn't feel like my place to personally PM a mod when i partly disagree with their reason so i hope that this feud ends in 135's favor

135 i worship you for making this post.

1 because you had the courage to actually speak your mind without being scared
2 because you took your time out to speak up about this problem.
3 because I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. however, mine is with a certain AK.

i too, have gotten m thread deleted for ABSURD reasons.
because i made a joke in a thread and said "if captain rhubarb accidentally deleted and you knew it, what items would you save in the bank and why?"

my thread was deleted before anyone posted because "a younger forum user may think that would actually happen" or "i may be defaming the character of another and thats a bannable offense".

i havent had any problems with mods becuase they are normally right. NORMALLY
the only problems ive had with mods is getting through security. (proving what im saying is true)
(which is there for our own benefit anyways so i can understand that as well) but thats another issue.

i thank you for making this post and you have certainly (maybe over exaggerated a bit but) spoken for me.

as of now, i wouldnt be surprised with that certain ak came here and deleted this post because i may be defaming her character.

This stops here.

As stated in the Universal Rules, if you have a problem with moderation in a forum, you contact the AK/mod in question first, in a polite and civil manner. If the situation is not resolved to your satisfaction, then you take it to the next step up.

So if you have a problem with an AK's moderating decision, talk to them about it but aren't happy with the decision, you take it to the head moderator of that forum. If that doesn't resolve it, you take it to a forum administrator - Circe, Seahawk or myself.

From the Universal Rules:
quote:

Failure to proceed in this manner, such as by posting a public thread indicates you haven't actually followed the rules, and as such your thread may be locked or deleted.

We are not ogres, we will not disregard genuine complaints without investigation.

Locked.
