moneybags -> RE: Lock/Delete our OWN Threads (11/8/2009 18:08:57)

As said above, locking is going to be for AKs / Mods / Admins only. Its not like you'll be locking your own thread every day, and as phoenixfire has mentioned, it encourages mini-modding. However, after some time of thought, wouldn't locking your own thread in the Q&A Section be useful? As stated in threads before by moderators and AKs, its nearly impossible to have someone moderating a board the whole time. When one feels that their question is answered, they could lock it. Its not mini-modding (unlike the GD forums), and it would prevent posts after the question has been answered. Or if locking is needed to be remain AK only, perhaps a delete button can be implemented into the Q&A sections? One will be able to delete their own threads after answered, or the if the posters are unintentionally repeating an answer, their post could be deleted. Just my two cents.
