To the Veil Quest Location: The Bridge Quests Given From: Queen Pra'Mithia (WARPFORCE SAGA) Dialog: Queen Pra'Mithia: We are out of immediate danger, thanks to you, WarpForcer. Thank you! Now, it is time to set a course to the Cryptic Veil... whatever that is. Queen Pra'Mithia: Even though we've captured one of the foru Autarchs, another one of them is coming after us. We've got to lose them! I have a plan! Back <<Cutscene, LSS Alteon is flying through space>> Admiral Amada: We just barely managed to save the LSS Alteon from a raiding Defiler party, but sensors indicate remnants of the Defiler squadron has met up with Nechron and Exo ships and are continuing pursuit! <<Enemies pursuit the LSS Alteon>> Gravlax: Defenses are only 50% functional, Admiral! General Leet: We cannot hold up against another full attack -- not yet... Admiral Amada: Then -- we run <<The scene is now inside the bridge>> You: No, we cannot just run away. We have to go where the Hand of Creation WANTS us to go. Captain Daian: <<Character name>>, I know you really beleive in that thing, but how do we know it isn't some kind of trap?? You: Well, my instincts tells me we need to get to this "Cryptic Veil" as soon as possible. The Hand of Creation has a power I can't quite describe... You: ...but whatever it is, I don't think it means us harm. I think it needs us to HELP. Queen Pra'Mithia: I think you're right. Admiral, get us to the Cryptic Veil! <<Cutscene; goes back into space>> Admiral Amada: Warp-Speed ahead!!! << The ship warp-speeds >> <<Scene is switched back over to inside the Bridge>> General Leet: The enemy squadrons have followed us into warpspace, Admiral. They entered warpspace so soon that they were able to tunnel right into our wormhole before it collapsed! You: What does that mean? Admiral Amada: When we go to warpspace, we basically open up a tube in spacetime, called a wormhole. It closes up behind us, but -- Admiral Amada: --if something is able to get in before that happens, it's likely they're on the same highway as we are. You: Then to lose them we have to take an exit, and get back into Warpspace before they can follow us again! Admiral Amada: Since our regular Alteon pilots are busy with repairs, I'm making you Emergency Pilot for now, <<character name>>! <<Cutscene: The LSS Alteon is pursued by its enemies. Both groups are racing through space>> The pursuing Network forces are closing in! As an Emergency Pilot, you have to decide where to drop out of warpspeed and outmaneuver them! Exit at Protus Exit at Kairula Exit at Aglon-11 Exit at Protus <<Cutscene, in a scene where Protus is nearby>> You: They think I have the Hand of Creation, so they'll follow where I go. <<Scene switches over to inside the Bridge>> You: Let's put out a fake transmission saying that I'm taking the Hand of Creation back to the Proteans, and at the same time send the Proteans an encrypted message to ready a battle squad! You make it to the surface of Protus just as the Network battle group exits the warpspace behind the Alteon and begins tracking you down... Continue! << Scene switches over to Protus>> Minister Raz-griff: <<Character name>>, welcome to Protus. Though, I am not very pleased with the circumstances surrounding your return... You: I apologize, Minister, but there wasn't much time. The Hand of Creation is safe aboard the Alteon now, but Dark Madder's forces think I am returning it to you. Raz-griff: We are prepared, as you requested. Hopefully our attack weakens them. The battle has already begin (began) to the west of the capital. You: I'm going to help long enough for them to confirm my presence here, and then try to return to the Alteon undetected. You: I'll be on Kairula before the Network's sensors catch up to me! <<On Kairula>> Yivat: A Lorian... again! I thought we had seen the last of your kind! Nizya: This Lorian has come as a friend, Yivat... Let us hear what our friend has come to say. You: I'm sorry for the short notice... but I need your help. Badly. You: I know that there is very little peace between your two races, but I need you to help each other by helping me. Some Network warriors led by Dark Madder are trying to steal an ancient device-- You: -- and I have it. It's important, we think, and might help us ultimately defeat the Network. As you both know, they may some day attack your world, and some of them may already be here. You: Can you join forces and hold them off as long as possible while I try to escape back to my ship? You: We're trying to divert them long enough so they can't follow us as closely as they have been. Nizya: Thanks to you, we understand the threat the Network poses to Kairula. Since we first met, we have reached a truce in mutual hostilities so that we can build up a united military-- Nizya: In preparation for if or when the Network makes a move against us. Yivat: Hmf! I'm going to lure as many of Darm Nadder's force down there as I can, then blow the antimatter containment unit! Taking a Zhoom 6000 warpfighter from the WarpGuardian Tower, you speed to the planet's surface-- to the coordiantes of the entrance to the underground antimatter chamber... I'll need to fight through some of them to get down into the antimatter chamber and plant the explosive! It's small because all has to do is release the reactor's tiny amount of antimatter from its antigravity field so that it comes into contact with the plain matter surrounding it... You: As soon as Aglon-11 explodes, we'll jump into warpspace! the explosion might prevent the network from following us! You: 3......2......1...... Admiral Amada: <Your Character Name>, your plan took out many of Dark Madder's forces, but more than enough managed to escape with us. You: Dropping out of warpspeed now-- We're here! We've reached-- You: -- the Cryptic Veil! Mission Debriefing Our attempts to evade Dark Madder's forces in our warpspeed journey to the Cryptic Veil have been unsuccessful, but you managed to reduce their numbers, and most importantly we made it to our destination unscathed! Now it remains to be seen just WHAT the Cryptic Veil is, and whether or not we will be able to shomehow defeat Dark Madder and the rest of her forces!
