Welcome to the Stats Training!

NOTICE
~ If you have any suggestions, comments or anything to change in this Stats Training, please let us know.
~ For any questions you can send a [image]http://forums2.battleon.com/f/image/pm.gif[/image] to Kaelin. [:)] Also, other AK's can help you as well. :p
~ Take a look at our WF Encyclopedia for information about Items, Quests and Events.
~ This WF Map can be useful for a new player, as well for a player who is looking for a (new) location, item or anything else.
~ Feel free to point out any mistakes that I may have made such as spelling errors, grammar, etc.

TIPS
  • Don't spread your stat points between all of the stats.
    The fewer the stats you focus on, the more effective you will be with the abilities you train for.
  • If it becomes too expensive to train a stat one level, choose another stat you are willing to train.
    You should be able to focus all of your points on two or three stats if you spend your gold wisely.

    Q: What are Stats? Where can I train them?
    A: Stats help determine your character's strong points.

    Strength(STR) - Increases Melee damage and bonus to hit with Melee Weapons
    Dexterity(DEX) - Increases bonus to hit percent for all attacks and dodging ability.
    Intellect(INT) - Increases Skill and Tech damage, Bonus to Hit % of Skill and Tech, and total Mana/Energy Points.
    Endurance(END) - Increase total Health Points(HP).
    Charisma(CHA) - Increases Pet and Guest damage, Bonus to hit with Pet/Guest, and Attack Rate.
    Luck(LUK) - Increases Small Bonus to Hit % for all attacks, small bonus to dodging, % chance to attack first in battle,
    Bonus damage to lucky strikes, and increase Potion effectiveness.

  • Currently you can train stats with Tronzor in the VR Deck at the bottom of the ship.
    The cost of training will depend on how much you have already trained each stat.
    Unlike in AQ, training the first five points in a stat is not free.

  • You can also "untrain" stats with Roznort in the VR Deck, allowing you train with different stats instead. Untraining is free.

    ~ WarpTrackers(free players) currently have a Level Cap of 68, allowing these characters a maximum of 340 stat points to distribute
    among the six different stats.

    ~ WarpGuardians currently have a Level Cap of 86, so a maximum of 430 points are available to them.

    Since my name appears to be being taken in vain ... :-p

    Let me be clear: a "pure" Gunner would NOT have STR. Indeed, if you are planning to train STR you should not be using Guns - they do not depend on STR at ALL which means that those points are wasted.

    Gunner is the "default" weapon set - everyone who does not train STR should use Guns. This also means that if you are training STR, you should not be using Guns - because sticks should be better for you :-)

  • Some of you guys :) just want to use both Sticks(Melee Weapons) and Guns(Ranged Weapons).

    I suggest you to change your mind and follow Aelthai's advice(see the quote above from her).
    If you won't change your mind because it's just your style play, then it's up to you.

  • I don't see a good reason to make the Stats Training that use both Sticks(Melee Weapons) and Guns(Ranged Weapons).

    Make Your Own Build (by Kaelin)
    The purpose of this section is give you basic guidelines for assembling your own build. If you want lots of freedom for training stats but still want some basic pointers to keep your plans from falling apart, try these rules.

    First, choose the stats you want to train. You need to have at least two stats you are comfortable with. You can still favor your first stat more than your second one, but you do need a second one, because you cannot just stick with one stat. You should also figure out a stat you are willing to train third. If you don't know what the stats do, refer to the section for "What are Stats?"

    Second, if you want to train CHA as one of your major stats in order to use "Beastmaster" pets, refer to the "Expected CHA Table." You should train your CHA according to this chart if you want to use these pets effectively. It is okay to train a little below these standards early on, but you should try to stick with these recommendations. If you are not comfortable training your CHA this high, then use pets that do not have a CHA requirement.

    Finally, play the game and train your stats as you see fit! Of course, your gold will limit what you can do training wise, so use these considerations to help you decide when to train which stat:
    1) If you need to train your CHA to keep up with the Expected CHA Table or to use a WarpGuardian/Token pet you own more effectively, train your CHA if you can afford to do it.

    2) If you like your top two stats about the same, then alternate between training each stat. If you cannot afford either stat, then train your third stat instead and save up enough gold to train one of your top two stats next level. If you like three stats about evenly, then alternate between them as you like.

    3) If you like your first stat more than your second stat, then train your top stat whenever you can. If you cannot afford to train your top stat, and your second favorite stat is at least 20 points behind your favorite stat, then train your second favorite stat. If you cannot afford your second stat either, or your second stat is too close to your first stat, then train your third stat instead. You should save up enough gold to train one of your top two stats next level.

    4) If you like your first stat a lot more than your second stat, then train your top stat whenever you can. If you cannot afford to train your top stat, and your second favorite stat is at least 40 points behind your favorite stat, then train your second favorite stat. If you cannot afford your second stat either, or your second stat is too close to your first stat, then train your third stat instead. You should save up enough gold to train one of your top two stats next level.

    5) If you simply do not like your second stat any more than your third, then train your second and third stats evenly whenever you cannot afford to train your first stat.

    6) If you spent a lot of gold on equipment purchases and cannot afford one of your two favorite stats when you think you should be able to train them, then you can delay training until you come up with the gold. However, if you cannot come up with the gold before the next time you level up, then you should give in and train your third stat.

    7) You should never have to train a fourth stat until L121, although you may choose to do so in case you only want to partially train a particular stat (probably END). If you want to train one of your top three stats but cannot afford to do so, then save up gold until you can train one of your top three stats.

    For the most part, you can afford to alternate training between your top two stats and occasionally train your third stat. If you want to train your top three stats more evenly, you can do that. If you want to train your first stat more than your second, you can do this to some extent, but do not get too greedy -- it does not cost as much to bring your second stat 35 points behind your first stat, so try to strike a balance between what you want and what you can afford. Finally, you should never need to train a fourth stat until you max out your first three stats at 200. You are allowed to train more than three stats, but with the exception of training END partway, you will usually be stronger if you focus on fewer stats.

    Expected CHA Table
    The table gives the CHA needed to get a 100% attack rate from WarpTracker "Beastmaster" pets. If you want to use these difficult-to-control pets, you should train your CHA to the levels below so you can use these pets effectively.
    Level	CHA
    1	5
    2	10
    3	15
    4	20
    6	25
    8	30
    11	35
    13	40
    15	45
    18	50
    20	55
    22	60
    25	65
    27	70
    29	75
    32	80
    34	85
    36	90
    39	95
    41	100
    43	105
    46	110
    48	115
    50	120
    53	125
    55	130
    57	135
    60	140
    62	145
    64	150
    67	155
    69	160
    71	165
    74	170
    76	175
    78	180
    81	185
    83	190
    85	195
    88	200

    WarpGuardian and Token Beastmaster pets will have a higher expected CHA than what is listed, and you may lose out on some damage because of this, but the power gained in return will be even greater. If you still want to achieve (or get close to) a 100% attack rate, refer to your pets' descriptions to see how much CHA you need.

  • Thanks a lot to Aelthai, In Media Res, Scakk, Falerin, Icemaster Yeti, Kaelin. [:)][sm=icon_idea.gif]

    Also, thanks to moneybags, Nex del Vida, Darius, Clyde, spellfire77, Peachii.

  • Darius -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/2/2009 12:33:29)

    I seem to have made an error concerning what exactly a lucky-variant build is. It is one that sacrifices DEX in favor of LUK when two or more offensive stats are maxed. A regular beast engineer trains dex, int, and cha, while a lucky beast engineer would train int, cha, and luk. A plain lucky engineer would train int, dex, and luk, which could technically be considered a lucky-variant build, but the true spirit of a gambler is lost since it's not relying solely on luck and equipment to win battles. Instead, it's bolstering its already-powerful abilities by training a little luck, which is something most high-level pure builds would do anyway.

    Also, you forgot about hybrid builds.

    Pure Hybrid
    Lv48=120 STR/INT

    Balanced Hybrid
    Lv.48=80 STR/INT/DEX

    Tank Hybrid
    Lv.48=80 STR/INT, 30 END, 50 DEX

    Lucky Hybrid
    Lv.48=80 STR/INT/LUK

    Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/2/2009 12:42:29)

    Do you also have the stats training under level 48? :p

    Darius -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/3/2009 16:15:33)

    No I don't, sorry. I don't always remember how many points lower-levels get, so it's harder for me to gauge where they should go. Besides, you're better at this than I am, and this is your guide, after all, so I leave most of the calculations up to you. I'm just stating my opinions and offering some advice, I'm not trying to co-write this whole guide with you. That being said, I'd appreciate it if you took my name out of the co-authors list. Co-contributor list, sure, but not co-writer, please.

    Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/3/2009 16:35:11)

    Done! Thanks! [;)]

    moneybags -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/4/2009 1:30:23)

    Perhaps a description of each build? Some new players may not know which build is what (ie. Gunners are a defensive build which can sit in defensive armors and fire guns). Something like that, but more details.

    Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/4/2009 7:21:06)

    I know! :p You are welcome to help us if you want. [;)]
    I'll leave this question to someone else. Thanks moneybags. :-)

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/19/2009 15:30:56)

    Perhaps (if possible) there could be a little section on which build currently is the most efficient.

    moneybags -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/19/2009 15:34:12)

    There is no best build, or most 'efficient' build. Builds are there to enhance your way of fighting.

    For example, you see a player that uses Guns and a player that uses sticks. If you look from a Striker's point of view, the Striker build would be best, but the player using guns would say the complete opposite.

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/19/2009 16:09:33)

    Ah, but in the AQ guide they have this:
    quote:

    # Performance - Fun - Challenge

    moneybags -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/19/2009 17:08:31)

    But you see, WF is like a Swept version of AQ. When AQ is finished with the Sweep, all builds are going to be as balanced as possible

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/20/2009 16:28:04)

    I believe the WG Level Cap is now 50 and the Tracker Level Cap is now 34. I think it is anyway. If so, this needs to be updated:
    quote:

    ~ WarpTrackers currently have a Level Cap of 32, allowing these characters a maximum of 160 stat points to distribute
    among the six different stats.

    ~ WarpGuardians currently have a Level Cap of 48, so a maximum of 240 points are available to them.
    Only a minor adjustment is needed, though.

    EDIT: Out of curiosity, what would a BeastHybrid be like? Good? Or would the stats be too spread out or have some flaw in it?

    Updated, thanks ~$b

    moneybags -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/20/2009 16:53:01)

    A BeastHybrid, IMO, would have its stats too spread out. A Hybrid would train STR, DEX and INT, and a BeastHybrid would have another stat that needs to be focused on: CHA.

    A Hybrid, without training LUK, would already not be getting the best out of spells, guns or sticks. With a BeastHybrid, you'd even get worse than that, seeing you have to train a decent amount of stat points into CHA. The advantage I see with being a BeastHybrid is its versatality, almost allowing you to use anything in the game.

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/20/2009 17:33:19)

    There's the small matter that would appear tedious and boring and can wait until later:

    You need to recolour the level 32 and 48 bits to normal colour, and change it so the colours are on level 34 and 50.
    Done, thanks! :p ~Mysterious Strangeface

    It'll be updated soon. Thanks Manga Maniac! [;)]

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/21/2009 10:17:35)

    Balanced Hybrid would be trained STR, DEX, INT
    L 5 | 25 INT | | |
    L 10 | 25 STR/DEX | | |
    L 15 | 25 STR, 50 DEX | | |
    L 20 | 50 STR/DEX | | |
    L 25 | 50 STR/DEX, 25 INT | | |
    L 30 | 50 STR/DEX/INT | | |
    L 32 | 50 DEX/INT, 60 DEX | | |
    L 35 | 50 STR/INT, 75 DEX | | |

    L 55 | 75 STR, 100 DEX/INT | | |
    L 60 | 100 STR/DEX/INT | | |
    At level 32 I believe it's meant to be 50 STR not DEX[;)]

    afsoc4life -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 4:20:42)

    In a bit of dilemna - trying to train a gunner (DEX, LUK, END?) with my Warptracker character. So far I have trained only dex and luck (he is level 14) and this doesn't seem to produce strong hits ..

    Also he misses a fair bit which is unusual!

    http://guardian.battleon.com/Build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=63320833

    Imagine a lvl 14 with 35 DEX and 30 LUK hitting a 4 in a lucky strike!!

    That said - ignore the above .. just hit a 46!! on 130% resistance ..

    In stats guide above - it looks like 'Lucky Gunner' and 'Tank Gunner' are mixed up!!

    Manga Maniac -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 6:57:33)

    No. Lucky Gunner seems perfectly usual with NO end whatsoever, and as LUK increases damage as well, it is needed. END does not appear to be used as much in WF as in AQ, and so even the Tanks sometimes have only 50 end.

    afsoc4life -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 7:26:36)

    I beg to disagree - Tank Gunner looks more like lucky gunner and vice versa. END is used more in the Lucky Gunner build above than the Tank Gunner Build. No need for Non-Tank to train END till late-20s and early-30s and even then!!
    Done, thanks! :D ~Mysterious Strangeface

    moneybags -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 12:37:46)

    In WF, I don't beleive there is such thing as a Lucky Gunner. Why? Its because all Gunners train LUK. The only difference I see between Gunners is third main stat it trains. Any build would focus on 3 stats - A Gunner, DEX being a necessity. To cover for the no stat damage for guns, a Gunner would also train LUK, to earn the ability of Lucky Strikes, as well as boosting up defense and many other things. A little bit of END - or a lot, if you're a Tanker - will be trained just for the extra HP. Then what of the third main stat? Its actually kinda fine now with the level cap being reasonably low, but when its raised to higher levels (and it most likely will, seeing there are level 100+ items out there), it'd be a disadvantage just to leave those extra stats lying around.

    Thats why a Tank Gunner and a Lucky Gunner is the same. A tank would focus on DEX, LUK, END while a Lucky Gunner would focus on DEX, LUK, and well, END, because training CHA would change it to a BeastGunner, and training INT would change it to an Engineer Gunner. Training STR would change it to a Striker.

    afsoc4life, at a low level, weapons actually have quite low BtH, which is probably the reason why you're hitting so less. And you've not using very high leveled weapons either, which is probably why you're hitting so low. It doesn't really matter anyways, since there aren't much high HP monsters in the lower levels.

    afsoc4life -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 14:56:07)

    ^^ true and well said .. however at the end a tank should have more END than a lucky gunner!!

    Nex del Vida -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/22/2009 16:40:54)

    You may want to add in that a Pure Striker could go the route of training STR more than DEX. My level 50 character currently has 145 STR, 100 DEX (farming for that 150 STR.) I don't know if you want to add multiple options for each build, but I find it very effective--large damage and very accurate. The problem is it takes a bit of a long time to get all that gold, but it's very effective.

    Also... is "Engineer" set in stone as the name for magebuilds? Because I think Technician sounds cooler. :P Just an aesthetics thing.

    Added, thanks! If you want you may edit/add/change anything in that guide. [;)] ~Mysterious Strangeface

    necrolich66 -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/26/2009 8:37:08)

    well at low lvl it looks weak but with more points this build looks pretty good
    high CHA and INT
    a little bit of END since the monsters don't hit hard but it can be needed later(BTW i'll get rid of)
    some STR for hard hits since there is no magic weps

    http://aq.battleon.com/build30/charviewWF.asp?temp=63242877

    Bu Kek Siansu -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/26/2009 10:28:31)

    I suggest you to untrain your INT and put it into STR.
    At low level you don't really need other stats, and just focus on STR.
    Once its 150 STR you can train DEX till 100, then CHA.
    A bit END is ok since you just can get 50 Health/Energy Potions.

    necrolich66 -> RE: =WF= Stats Training (12/26/2009 10:51:27)

    i prefer INT for techs
    realy helpfull
    it get a lot of HP down
    i can kill some monsters in 4techs
    END is not that usefull but a few can help at low LVL llater it can help more
    STR is good for normal atachs
    and CHA for pets
    that's my build and i dopn't think that INT isn't usefull

    but should i lower my END since for now it's not to usefull(not all ENd just a part)
