SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/13/2012 15:41:31)

I love the new Estate and House details. Please release it soon AE.....

Two scrolls on the wall? This could be a brilliant new message board... or just two ways to see the same old battle record? [:D]

Hoshi -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/13/2012 16:05:48)

spoiler:

King nightbane also has void nightbane

great house..I wonder how many storage slots this one will add...

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/13/2012 16:14:30)

Ya he is nothing new....

Duskstar -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/13/2012 16:47:23)

I don't think it would be a good idea to try visiting his house :P

*looks at Void NightBane??*

MP -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/14/2012 5:24:53)

I wish the kingdoms will come soon. [:)]

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/14/2012 9:36:45)

While I am excited about the new house, it also raises a few questions.

1. Why do all houses get a mirror-view in estate-mode? Especially with the Deren house it looks like it's made out of cardboard.

2. Will we get additional benefits for what we can do with our house? Perhaps it'll be updated, but from the way it looks* now there isn't anything added to the previous benefits.

3. Will there be a specific house item for the Deren Estate?

*Could be that they added another mount to the stables.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (4/15/2012 15:57:51)

The Void Nightbane lvl 500 has been around forever and a day and most staff and test characters have it.

I personally am not crazy about how it looks but I'm very glad to see something new for houses. I will remain appreciative of that.

Perhaps if it has a new feature I'll consider it for another character.

If and when released, it would just go to show that other housing related updates are very doable.

Savage Fred -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 14:22:22)

Just got the Deren Estate with the wheatfield and mana collector, but I don't see any obvious advantage to this estate over the Darkovia one. Anybody know if/why the Deren estate is better?

Sanctus Paladin -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 14:24:30)

Yes it is better. It gives the mana collector which equals the dark mana collector.
The wheatfield equals the cornfield, and therefore beats out the graveyard. So it is certainly better from an estate perspective.

dr jo -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 14:31:17)

Whats new apart from the estate any new builings or guards.

Voigan -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 14:34:15)

I hope there aren’t any wars for a week or two at least. My resources were already low from the last one, now with reupgrading everything they’re pretty close to zero.[:(]

I wonder if the new house is a sign that the estate system hasn’t been abandoned after all. IIRC originally the Darkovia estate was supposed to be the most expensive house. So maybe we’ll see some estate system updates soon like the Animal Barn or maybe even the long ignored Museum. I’m probably being overoptimistic since the Museum was supposed to have it’s features implemented years ago and AFAIK the Captain hasn’t mentioned it for a looong time. At least I never bought the blasted thing.

In terms of plot, extra inv spaces and refillable pots, they're exactly the same.. Only new features are the scaled temp armor/weapons; (farmable?) boss(kind of like a weakened water essence with half the rewards); and slightly better resources from one of the special buildings..

That's all you get for an extra 5/4k token step-up from forest/darkovia estate..

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 14:51:31)

To be clear it's not "slightly better resources from one of the special buildings" it's "one of the builds has near twice the resources per hour of what it's replacing". It's essentially an extra plot if not 2. That right there takes care of your plot "issue".

Avoleii Evanesca -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 15:19:51)

Obviously there has to be something to make the Deren estate have an obvious advantage against the other estates, given that all the previous estates(regardless of cost and all resources treated as equal), had similar production. And it's only "near twice" for one building it's replacing. Even then, that's still like simply one plot and does not adequately "take care of the plot issue" from an equity perspective given that the step-up from tiki beach estate to forest mansion estate(a difference of 5K tokens) is +3 plots. Therefore, the major factor perhaps to the extra cost is simply the temp MC items..

the clan master -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:21:35)

the only disadvantage of the Deren estate is that it can't produce that much stone or wood resources, hopefully the staff will fix that soon.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:23:43)

Avoleii Evanesca
It's 21 vs 41 so yes it could be 2. It would take the place of the graveyard and then could take the place of up to 2 basic buildings which are +10 each.

edit: @ above which is exactly a disadvantage of ZERO when you consider we have access to the trade hut.

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:30:20)

The obvious answer is that the Deren Estate super food and energy prduction is balanced by the poor stone and wood production.
For MWP it makes no difference as they only need food and Energy.
However if you really need the stone and wood you can just use the Trade Hut to get what you need.

I would hope to see another Estate, maybe called a Deren Mountain Estate? Where stone is easily produced.
or a Deren Forest Estate, Where wood is easily produced.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:33:19)

^ & I would hope to see other things discussed in the past that would fix the "issue" better then that would[&:]

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:35:28)

@SIGMUND: In my opinion it would make more sense to get a Dwarfhold Estate for stone production. The kingdom of Deren doesn't seem to have much stone, a coastal estate would make more sense if you'd ask me.

Jr -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:41:58)

I want a "Mastercraft" Estate that has extra plots, and special resource producers, 50k - 60k Tokens. Not much else to do with tokens, I would buy that...

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:46:25)

^ how about rather then special buildings just the ability to use ALL buildings?

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:48:55)

@afterlifex: It would be nice to have something like that, though it probably would be at least twice as expensive as the Deren Estate.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:50:39)

lol, kind of the point then I was responding to a comment on a 50-60k Z estate[&:]

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/5/2012 16:54:04)

@afterlifex: My initial thoughts were actually about Kingdoms, but I decided against it since they'll probably come sooner or never.
