Alright , first of all , this idea is an idea that brings all AE games togather with the forums , here is how it works :

A new player just created a new account and needs help on any of AE games , he post his need for a game mentor on a certain post that is specific to that game , the mentor help the new player with everything he needs in the game , from info to solutions to tactics .

Now i know this sounds much like the job of the specific game Q&A , but on the Q&A , you are pretty much restricted with the questions you ask , the mentor would give a much better judgment (or should give) .

For example , i am sponsering the so called player "newnew123" , now NN asks me a question about MQ's newest release , and i can help him step by step with him not getting embarressed of the question he is asking .

This can help bring the forum relations into a better stage , i just hope this idea can work , thank you for your time !

Wouldn't you be able to take care of this in PM? Numerous times, after helping a player through PM, we follow through with a lengthy conversations on different aspects of the game.

Adding on to dev, the Q&A is not a place to be embarrassed. If a person feels that way, they can take it to an AK. The main problem with this is that people might give out the wrong information. Finding a solution for all that would probably make it work, but I do not encourage it.

Introducing a system like this would make it less likely that users will learn to use the proper boards when asking questions because there's never any reason for them to do so. Newbie Help was removed for this reason, and I'm not a big fan of it for that reason either.
