Illuminator -> An Inbox Bug (4/2/2010 17:12:10)

Alright, so yesterday, I clicked on my inbox and saw 2 new messages there. 1 from overdrive who I have been PMing back and forth for a while now, and 1 from ubear, who I have never PMed. I am aware that there is a bug that sometimes causes PMs to go to the wrong person, so I figured that's what it was, to make sure though I clicked on it to see who it was sent to.

Here's where it gets strange, when I clicked on the message to open it, the message from overdrive (which I had recieved 2 hundreths of a second after the message from ubear). In other words I am unable to open the message from ubear. (probably good, it is a private mesage after all).

I just shrugged it off and continued my conversation with overdrive, however it happened again today. This time with a message from Tokijin. This time the message from him and overdrive had been recieved within 1 hundreth of a second of eachother. I decided to leave it alone and open the message from overdrive, but instead it opened the one from Tokijin.

I tried restarting my web browser and clearing my cache but it still opens the wrong message. Also when I deleted the message from the other person (ubear and Tokijin) it deleted the message from overdrive that it seemed to be linked to.

Here is a screenshot of those message, you can see when they were recieved: http://imgur.com/KpKgs.jpg

Has this happened to anyone else before? And is there an explanation? Or is it just a strange bug? Normally I would just leave it alone, but it happened twice within a 24 hour period.

Yep. The "Loco Help" was my message to Ubear, but when he replied i went to open it, and it said "from Overdrive, to: Illuminator" with a completely different subject. It's happened to me a few times before.

So the messages somehow got combine or something, probably because of being sent at the same time. The thing is I've been on these forums for 3 years and I've never heard of that happening or had it happen to me before, and it happened twice within 24 hours.

I'm wondering if this is purely coincidence or if I can expect this to happen more in the future. Because it is annoying, especially when the message that is lost was sent to you and you can't read it.

If it's just coincidence of them being sent at the same time then this can be locked, but is there a deeper explanation?

It hasn't happened to me for quite a while, I'm not sure what causes it though.
