Ok, so I know that if you want a name change for the forums you gotta PM Seahawk, with a reason. But two of my friends had their's changed and they said "I didn't give a reason, just asked politely and got it" so yeah. And I know you can only change it once. But here comes the question: How would other forumites know it's you if you change your name? Because I want to change my name but first to know, do I have to PM everyone I want to know me about the change or does it do that automaticly? If it doesn't, I'll just PM my forums friends about it. Cause I wannt to change from a really long name (Shadowlightning) to a two letter name which I found is untaken. Thanks in advance ;)

I believe you have to pm them yourself, people will work out its you though :P

Well. You probably would have to notify your friends in some way. I suggest keeping your avvy though. When I changed my name it helped.

I'll also keep my sig, which gets me most of my forums popularity. I made that sig in a rush but clearly it came out good xD
Lot's of people tell me "Hey, you're the one with the iChoco sig!" so that'll help.

Yeah, there really is no system which allows every forumite to know you've changed your name.

I've seen a few players do this in the past: Say your name was NAME A and you changed it to NAME B. You'd use "~NAME B (Formerly NAME A/NAME A)" after each post you make for a bit. Eventually the name will register with others. ;)

Well, I've changed my name before, here's what Ill tell you.

  • You have to PM Seahawk
  • It doesn't matter if you change your name by changing capitals. I changed it from rsnail to RsNail
  • You don't always need a reason.
