signature not working

My signature is a gif, the size is 231x100. ive tried putting text next to it and not. but when i put the link with the [img] [/img] around it it just shows the link. can some1 help me? And yes, it is an image holster, ive tried photobucket and image shack.

The tags don't work in caps. Either use [img][/img] or [image][/image].
