Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 17:43:23)

I post a poem or story and my inbox suddenly contains two more submissions.

Not complaining. It's so awesome!

Keep them coming!

.....Maybe I should start working on mine.

The Extinguisher -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 18:48:13)

I should have something written. I enjoyed the last book challenge.

I promise I'll be a little more... concrete in my ideas this time :D

Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 19:19:41)

Just write like you know you can. That is all that you need. Your talent is welcome and you know that.

The Extinguisher -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 19:39:36)

I get more work done when I'm being self-deprecating.

Anyways, poems! I'm surprised by the number of poems this month.

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 20:03:21)

I will make something, just give me a few days or something!

The Doctor -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 21:25:43)

Mine was actually accepted?
That is, for lack of a more suiting adjective, awesome!
I am definitely going to participate in future Books.
However, I must repeat one thing.
War is a testy subject.

Poetic literature... forever!

alexmacf -> RE: Book of War (5/16/2010 23:56:01)

Everything's getting put on hold for exams. I'll do it soon though, I promise.

UrufuHiken -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 0:04:24)

^ Exams are rather annoying, aren't they...

Sounds like you are going to be kept busy for a while, Eukara. I may just have to post a second story[;)]

This book is starting to look great! Can't wait for the next one either!

Postmaster General -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 3:42:05)

I may be submitting a second work as well!

Although, if I do decide on this second piece, it will most likely be a straight forward fighting-based narrative. I think that every has strived to stretch from the norm on this book, and now there are very few stories which will actually be the expected war-related combat stories.

This is hardly a bad thing, it shows the collectively creative nature of these L&L Boards, so kudos to us all!

Xirminator -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 9:06:25)

Submitted mine.

That's one exam neglected, and one story written. (A very, very short story, though). A good day's work. :D

Edit: Am now reading all the submissions.

UrufuHiken -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 18:38:39)

I wonder if I should go straight forward or work on this other idea I've been having... I have a desire for a full-out confrontation in battle, but I also have a desire to write something a little more serious again... I just don't know what to do now.

*Shrugs* I guess I can just start typing and see whatever pops up on my screen.

Postmaster General -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 19:20:47)

Good luck Urufuhiken!

I'm sure whichever you decide on will be a stunning submission! A compromise could be possible as well. You could have a very serious, heartfelt battle scene. Something like a selfless sacrifice to save a loved one.

Red Blizzard -> RE: Book of War (5/17/2010 19:28:43)

Or a selfless sacrifice to save one's self...if that makes sense...:D Try something new!

Timhortanz -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 15:31:05)

10 days left to finish my poem. Oyah, I found out I love writing poems, so yeah, I scrapped my measly and pathetic story and am working on a poem.

Postmaster General -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 15:34:35)

Congratulations on finding a new venue! Indeed, poetry can be an exciting way to express yourself, and it seems to have really caught on for this Book project. I can't wait to see what kinds of poetry we will be seeing from you, both here and in WA.

Timhortanz -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 15:37:20)

Well, I posted a piece, but soon after Eng101 got very silent and empty, so it's gone. I'm waiting for the big changes to occur so I can repost it D=

horusmaster9 -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 16:08:40)

These books are good for letting you see what and how you really like to write, what with the set albeit loose themes. Poetry is an arcane trade to me, and I absolutely lurv short stories anyway, thanks to Poe. :D

Hope we get new additions soon. I'm itching for them... o.O

Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 16:12:17)

As soon as tonight is done with and L&L has gotten its facelift, there will be more to add. I have just been busy recently getting ready to the change. But, you will get a flood of new stuff to read soon enough.

horusmaster9 -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 16:15:26)

Nearly forgot about the revamp of L&L. Now I'm excited for two things. >:D

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 16:50:51)

I can't wait to see how the new L&L/CW will turn out and I still have time to began my poem/narrative! =D

Xplayer -> RE: Book of War (5/20/2010 17:45:01)

I made my submission. I decided to go with the old story after all. I'm reading through the book so far and I must say that I love Crimzon5's poem. Chess is awesome.

The Extinguisher -> RE: Book of War (5/22/2010 3:47:33)

So lets pretend I didn't spend my entire night watching anime instead of writing when I had ideas. Lets also pretend I actually have something started on my submission. I think that will be better for all of us.

I'll get it done. I'll just have to submit it on the last day. Again.

I'm really bad at this.

Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of War (5/24/2010 11:50:07)

Hey, as long as it is submitted... I am happy.

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: Book of War (5/24/2010 11:55:08)

I shall submit posthaste... sometime before the month is over XD

Timhortanz -> RE: Book of War (5/24/2010 12:01:31)

I'm having trouble with my ending, but it SHALL be submitted! >:D
