I have seen alot of good suggestions in forums for all the games, but I haven't seen a single one be into a game. What's the point of a suggestion forum if none of the suggestions are considered?

And why no "petition threads"? if you are going to put something in a game, wouldn't it be nice to see if alot of ppl like the idea?

The deal is that the staff can't work on all suggestions the player make, so you might see some that are really good but that won't be added because the staff has no plans to add suggestion at the time. However, that doesn't mean the staff never adds suggestions to the game: The AQW Player Suggestion Shops is updated from time to time, while Quibble had a shop entirely made of player items last month, while AQ frequently updates with suggestions, from new monsters to weapons. It's not a matter of the quality of suggestions, but time and plans to implement them.

Regarding petition threads, they are not allowed because they end up imposing ideas to the staff, and in most cases they don't add the suggested ideas because they simply can't. An example would be trading on AQW: Everyone would make petition threads for it, but it wouldn't be implemented because the staff expressed they don't want it to be added. Even with a list of what shouldn't be asked, it would end up being a "Most requested idea" thing, which would take a good part of the GD and is already covered by the suggestion board. When the staff feels a player idea is important to the game, they ask it on the DNs, which defeats the purpose of making petition threads in first place. Now, if you meant using them to imput feedback to the new things added, that's the function of the Gameplay Feedback thread (for AQW) and the DN threads.

Simply put, implementing player suggestions is a very tough process. A lot of things have to happen after the suggestion is posted for it to make it into the game, from design and balance tweaking to animating and coding the suggestion to finding a spot in the release schedule that it can be implemented. The staff do see player suggestions and keep ones the like in mind but implementing those suggestions is a lot of work and the staff are also very busy with other priorities that have to be taken care of first.

Suggestions should be implemented based on their own merit, not because of their popularity. The popular suggestions are not always the best ones or even necessarily good ones. Petition threads also generate a lot of clutter and spam (especially in the form of "me too" or "I agree" posts).

This thread is a list of all the suggestions for AQ that were implemented in-game.There is also,as Kain said,the AQW Suggestions shop,which is full of things that were all made by players.

how about MQ and DF suggestions? i've seen lots of huge, really thought out, really good ideas. (ok, so 1 MQ suggestion made it, the NUBER missles, but no specials or anything and rlly weak.... wonder if it was that persons idea for them to b weak...)

@rjy
You need to focus a little on how much you're critting and your damage with the shoulders.
They actually do have specials. :P
2 hits have 50% bonus damage, and 2 hits have a chance of crit. :P
While it wasn't my original suggestion (I intended it to be a nerfer), it is inspired by my post.
Also, my Icy Starfire SC wep made it in, and that one followed my suggestion to the letter.
Also, Kuld has made a mecha, the Jameson.

@rjy:

Actually, there is an outdated thread for DF suggestions that got added in the game here. Also, DF added a player suggestion shop recently, much in the likes of the AQW version. You can find a discussion thread for it here (and put your own ideas too!).

Now, regarding MQ, I didn't find if they it offers a list for implemented ideas but as Vivi pointed above:

As such, I wouldn't say the staff is not hearing the suggestions. Like Vivi said, the process is quite complicated, and it's up to the staff if the game should accept suggestions or not in a release. If MQ lacks player suggestions, you can take for sure there is a reason for it, and the staff not caring for their players is not one.

Suggestion's are being considered you just have to remember how many the moderator's have to go through before deciding out of all of the good one's which idea's should go through.

Another thing some f them have been put through such as the magnetic armour by reddy and a few weps, but you do just have to be patient about it.[:D]

I believe the issue has been sufficiently addressed, so I'm going to lock the thread.
