Basically this idea consists of, every once a month or once in a week, creating a poll to elect the favorites of the community. Like: art design, story, character page, signature and on. The winner of each could be rewarded with something off-game (example: exclusive avatar for a month, custom title, w/e comes to your creativity.), seeing as it is rare for the AE staff to promote drawing events (and, when they do, they put the limitation "AE Entertainment-Related", when they could even open contests for item creation). It could be also a good distraction for forum users.

First of all Forumites shouldn't need a distraction in the fist place, there are plenty of places to post and to express ideas about in and out of game material as well as writing and such. My main 'problem' with the idea is that although is has a good side to it, I fear it may encourage more of a competitive aspect to forums that may in the long run lead to flaming/trolling. For instance people not agreeing with the outcome of a certain competition.

Poll? No way. It can be biased or just a popularity contest at the best of times. I think that the Custom Title can be reserved for people that AK's or Mods or others think are really deserving of it.

i agree withu braken bard and how would they be able to do the poll? it would take to much time to just create a page that could be biased .The time that would be wasted on creating a page could go to something like fixing bugs

To add, there used to be a Writer/Poet of the month in the Legends & Lore board, but was discontinued due to the negativity that Leu is talking about. However, as far as Art and Sigs goes, there are weekly and monthly competitions in the Creative Arts board. Every month there is a Artist of th Month (AotM) and there is an area called Gallery Battle in which artists can have their works compared and voted on.

I'd like the idea without a reward.
It'd just be something fun to do. Encouraging, cheery, etc.
