they will not remake a SCMM but a different version other than bladestorm but even if they did SCMMs are not going to look like that.

Is it just me, or.. Do the SCMM names weird? and not really based on the mech?

I mean.. MOHAWK should've been an Indian-themed mech. Or have Mohawk styled hair. If you ask me, the Mohawk should be called the Master Blaster O.o

And Cosmic Talon? REally, what's so cosmic about it?

The only names that really was based on the mech are: Aegis, Reaper, Strider, Bladestorm(Not so sure), the Viking.

The rule of cool is only applied when cool things are unrealistic, it has nothing to do with things having cool names.

And many things have names that are unrelated to what they are.

And Tvtropes is much worse than a rick roll. Fortunately though, I know to close the window as soon as I see the page.

Rule of cool applies to Willing Suspension of disbelief, which is whether or not people care about how realistic something is. Not whether or not people care if names apply.

Mmm... my vote for the next SCMM would be a speed-based mecha. I don't think we've had one of those (I haven't been around since day one, so I'm not sure). Wasn't there one Pirate that did a Turbo thingy? Something like that, but with all its weapons based on hitting 'em hard and fast, i.e. a jack-hammer/vibro-blade for a front arm, a helicopter blade sort of thing on the other (I'm thinking of Volfogg from that Sunrise classic, GaoGaiGar), and some fancy, back-flipping action. Maybe I'm asking for too much, or for something that won't work out, but hey, freedom of speech, right?

OOC: I've always loved Greek mythology, even when I was little. I was really jumping for something Greek-looking, but I was somewhat disappointed (The mecha was awesome, don't get me wrong, but its name applied more to its function than to its appearance. Oh well.) Anyway, that interest was one reason I suddenly lost faith in Disney; I watched that "Hercules" movie, and noticed it was completely off. Hercules wasn't exactly the nicest guy you'd ever meet, and yet, in that movie, he's the epitome of humanity. That, and he got credit for doing lots of things he never did, like slaying the Minotaur, for example. He did kill the Hydra, but not by himself (at least in the version I read), and definitely not on a flying horse. Et cetera, et cetera. (Yeah, I did go a little off topic, but that's what the "OOC" is for, right?)

I did not know what an Aegis was, until I looked it up. And now I think it's a lovely word. =D

Ever looked at car names? You'll find weirder names there than on some mechs here.

On the discussion of the cosmic talon, I'll be damned honest, love the design, I tip my hat to the makers. But it seems to lack what the rest of the mechs have. now before anyone whines about me being a warbear-lover, One: I've never owned one and I never really want to. Two: I don't want it to get an insane buff-up just for it to be an equaliser. I mean that it doesn't really have the luster of say, the mohawk or the falcon.

Edit: Found a better way to put the problem: Its too quiet. Most/All SCMMs before this tell you the effects you've put on the enemy. This doesn't and it makes it seem a little less of a mecha. I miss how the blue bar pops up to tell me what debuffs I hit the enemy with. Now I find myself looking at the DNs trying to find out what each attack does (buff/debuffs)

Nobody else get that feeling, or is it just me?

They should add more 'Hawks, have an NPC who's Steele's rival named Hawk and have him have Hawk's army!

glaisaurus: Exactly. Then again, it'd probably wear off in a turn. Even in Advance Wars, I consider Lightning Drive/Attack extremely powerful. (Especially in Duel Strike, three turns for the price of one ._.), although Hawke only does well with air units...
...Erm...

But yeah, first things first, I want my healy mech. I will accept no subsititutes...

@glaisaurus_x and UltimaKomoto: There would be a way to counter that, make it only work if all equips are default. That would prevent the whole OP thing because you can only use what you got with it. Nice idea for a mech by the way.
