Several years ago at the age of nine or ten, i watched a movie with my cousin. This movie was known as Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I thought it was one of kind, the only movie about an amazing character. From that time on, the shadowy and mysterious character sat in the back of my mind. About four years later, I had the chance to watch the original Vampire Hunter D with him. It was made in the 80's, so art wise it wasn't that good, but overall it captured the same essence. A year later, I found the 13th book in a 21 book series all about the vampire hunter. It was the first book I had ever read that had anything to do with horror. I immediately wanted recreate everything from it, but in my own world. So here it is; my work; Hellsingr. I probably have way more written than is posted online (I say probably because things may change).

Very nice fiction. I do get the feeling of a complicated character with quite a bit of background, also the I can imagine the universe to be quite large and exciting, almost like a manga/anime where the protagonist is on a journey, battling stronger and stronger opponents along the way.

It is a shame that the main character wasn't described a bit more, and the last fight(and last line) would have been cooler if elaborated more. I really liked it though :)

yeah, i should probably post the rest of it sometime soon. the first chapter i mean. i don't want to reveal too much about the character: i dont want to make him hard to picture as well as i wish to keep him rather mysterious. more will be learned from him as i made/make him up along the way. i actually started writing this one poetic night when i couldn't sleep. the moon was really pretty that night, so i wrote a poem or something, which led to this. it has been severely edited though and i don't think its quite to the level i want it to be at yet.

I liked the description in the early parts. I'll sure to be reading more :D

Oh! thanks! i was wondering if i could fix that.
i really had fun writing the beginning description. my least favorite parts are the dialogues between Hellsingr and Stan. i may replace those with straight information about their world.
