Yep, you don't really NEED to post your story and ask for critiquing as once you submit all of us (Myself, CF, GG, Fleur, Nol, and Eukki) will read through it and proofread it for you. [;)]

BadHulk -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/11/2010 14:34:30)

Ah okay. Can't wait ;D

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/11/2010 16:56:32)

:O

Mystery is in the lead???!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually want to do a spiel on Sci-Fi now o:

Dargon -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/14/2010 3:42:39)

book of tides (cthulhu ARISE)

Soph the Crazed One -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/14/2010 4:49:28)

Book of Fur. I love animals.

BadHulk -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/14/2010 16:53:24)

I'll be assuming it shall be the Book of Mystery. But, Sci-Fi can be an option to.

Postmaster General -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/14/2010 17:14:13)

Remember, just because a book leads in the polls doesn't mean it will be the victor. The L&L team will be the decision makers. Any of the top three could be the Book for July.

So far:

First: Mystery
Second: Sci-Fi
Third: Fur/Tides

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/15/2010 6:58:57)

/e don't want book of July to be mystery ;)

Reaper Sigma -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/15/2010 12:20:54)

I think that Mystery is the most likely to be Book. Second is Fur, if it stays top three, then Scifi.

superjars -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/15/2010 12:22:09)

Well, I know Mystery got quite a bit of interest in the polls for the May book, so it makes sense that it would get equal interest here. I guess it'll depend mainly on what the AK's/Mods want to write on... :P

Angel of Grief -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/18/2010 1:57:53)

Hmmm...well now that I think of it, I could turn any of these topics into something delightfully creepy.
Beware Eukara.
Bewarreee

Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/20/2010 15:00:26)

And why, pray tell, should I beware? Are you intending on breaking rules? Hmmmmmmmm?

horusmaster9 -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/20/2010 17:39:39)

Yay! Tides is in a close third! :D

Is AoG the same person who did that story about the model-person who got stuck in the desert for ENG101 a while back? Because if he is... I think we do have a little something to be afraid of. That story was bloody nasty (no pun intended). ;P

Reaper Sigma -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/20/2010 19:09:25)

Yes he is. And, as I recall, you made some comment on it about beef jerky.

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/20/2010 19:49:17)

Grief's narrative must have been rough, but since I haven't seen it, it probably isn't half that bad. I'm quite sure it wasn't worse than my, 'first-attempted'narrative'. Besides, he wasn't the only one who had some gruesome plots, I had some as well.

And I wouldn't mind the Book of Tides, anything but the Book of Mystery... :)

Eukara Vox -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/20/2010 22:24:07)

Alrighty, I know that this says it will go until the 27th, but voting has pretty much come to a standstill. So, my staff will vote between

Book of Mystery
Book of Sci-fi
Book of Tides

Reaper Sigma -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 10:38:40)

@Imperial: Actually, AoG's story was well-written and overall excellent, in my opinion. It was just a bit graphic.....>.>

EDIT: Mystery FTW!

horusmaster9 -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 12:22:54)

Oh it wasn't rough at all. It was well-written and very descriptive. And a /bit/ graphic might be a bit of an understatement. ;P

Tides FTW!

alexmacf -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 14:46:38)

If we must, then Tides or Sci-Fi, please. I can do a lot with those, not so much with Mystery.

Xplayer -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 16:19:02)

Mystery: I'm not sure what I'd do for this one. A short story would be tough, and I don't know how a mystery poem would work.
Tides: I'd almost certainly write a poem for this one. I've had lots of great experiences on the water about which I could write.
Sci-Fi: A short story is likely, probably a typical fantasy story with a sci-fi twist.

Personally, like alex I'd prefer tides or sci-fi since I have some ideas for them (even though I voted for neither...hmm).

Postmaster General -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 17:12:00)

The fact that it would be a challenge for you to write the Mystery submission would be a plus if you ask me. It would test your limits and force you to think on your toes. An easy subject would hardly promote growth as a writer.

A mystery poem is most certainly possible, in fact I have one in mind as I write this post.

I actually have some ideas for both poems and stories for all three of these books. I will likely submit multiple pieces to this next book, assuming that I am happy with the products.

alexmacf -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/21/2010 23:37:02)

If you choose Mystery, expect a fairly sucky one from me. :P I dislike writing mysteries; I can't bear leaving my audience without answers. I will do my best, though, whatever you choose.

Angel of Grief -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/22/2010 1:17:46)

Nope, just the usual creepy stuff from me. ;D
*hides bloody axes*

And awesome. I have a story planned out for each topic. c:

Ilø€IMPERIAL€ølI -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/22/2010 19:49:00)

I can't but agree with alex and Xplayer1. I don't mind if the Book of Mystery is the book for July, but just don't expect too much from me since I can't really, say, 'feel the ease' when trying to puzzle the reader and create the suspense that's needed in poetry. It's a challenge if that's to be the theme. :/

Reaper Sigma -> RE: Book of ...... for July (6/22/2010 22:16:13)

I have a story planned for Mystery and Sci-Fi. Not so much Tides.
