Highlord Sendai -> DN's (6/4/2010 10:58:34)

Ok so basically I want to take an Idea from the AQ Board.

Adventurequest
Adventurequest General Disscusion
AQ Design Notes

In my Opinion every board should have this done.
For example,

Dragonfable
Dragonfable General Disscusion
DF Design Notes

Mechquest
Mechquest General Disscusion
MQ Design Notes

Adventurequest Worlds
AQWorlds General Disscusion
AQW Design Notes

I realize they have it for the AQ Forums becuase they have no Design Notes on Battleon.com.

The Reason I think this should be done is becuase it will be easier to find instead of going onto P2 of the X GD Board.

Also to add on to this,
Only Archknights should be given permission to post there.

Zyrain -> RE: DN's (6/4/2010 11:15:48)

I think this is a great idea. :)
Especially your point that only the (GD) Staff/AKs of that Board should post there.
In my opinion, it would cut down on Spam and make the GD Boards easier to navigate like you said.
However, it might be a bad idea for the newer and less active Boards such as WF and ED.

Postmaster General -> RE: DN's (6/4/2010 11:18:30)

The Design notes are all posted in the MQ, DF, and AQW GD's. The most recent DN's are usually found on the first page of the GD Boards unless it is no longer fueling discussion. DN threads are tagged by AK's to show that they are the official DN threads of that specific set of design notes.

All later information including DN's regarding the same release and the newsletter are found either added on to that same first post, or in its own thread.

So DN's area already found on the Forums.

Also, all members are allowed to discuss the DN's, which can be helpful for staff when trying to gauge which releases are 'fan favorites'

Valosity -> RE: DN's (6/4/2010 16:04:16)

As Sheriff said, they are still easily monitered by AKs and Moderators. If there were to be a completely new section, there would need to be an increase of frequently online AKs/Mods. Currently, there is an AK/Mod monitering a board about 15 hours of the 24 hour day, atleast that's what it seems. So, for DNs to be covered and discussable, it would be a bit of difficulty. As for while it's within the GD boards, you can see the newest stuff, and discuss it. If for some reason you wish to view an older DNs, you can check the website. It you want to go to an older forum topic that covers the DNs (Although posting there would bump it, that's against the rules, so that wouldn't be a problem) so you could brows what others said about it. I think there's quite a few setback, but I think if those were fixed it would be a marvelous idea!

In advance of what Zyrain said, I have to say I will give my props. Let's have a sub-forum of the old GD*.

Sir Gnome -> RE: DN's (6/5/2010 12:19:31)

The only reason that a DN board exists for AQ is that the AQ DNs are not posted on battleon.com , but instead only on the forums. If you want to find the full text of DNs for DF, MQ or AQW you can find both the most recent DNs and links to the DN Archives on the respective DragonFable.com , Mechquest.com and AQ.com sites.

While the DNs are still being discussed, the thread in question is HIGHLY unlikely to be anywhere past the second page of a board. If the DN you are interested in is not there, then it would probably be best to either start a new thread, or look for a more specific existing thread, on the part of the DNs that you are interested in (as they typically cover many subject areas).

So, to conclude, I don't see what advantage copy/paste-ing the DN Archives for each of the non-AQ games forumside when these already exist on the respective sites.

Highlord Sendai -> RE: DN's (6/6/2010 2:01:33)

@Sir Gnome,
How about this, when a offical =DF= thread gets Locked, it moves to the DN Section. So the Staff can go back and keep what the Players want/don't want.

Anywayz, guess its good for a lock

The staff already checks the DNs threads, you don't need to worry about it ;)

Locked as requested,
Kain
