10. Bumping should be used sparingly. Self-bumping is ONLY allowed when a considerable update to your guide has been made, and it needs to be reviewed again, or when you are ready for your guide to be looked at to be approved. Posts made only to bump a thread, when the thread has had no changes made to it, will be deleted.

From the DF Pending guide rules. Does bumping mean adding a post to the end of your guide to move it higher up in the list of topics?

Bumping guides won't actually move it up; in MQ at least, guides are arranged by alphabetical order. Just in case you were talking about your guide. ;)
Anyways, you got bumping down.
Oftentimes, it's comboed with double-posting.

@forumlogin-Um... Ya. I have a secret-project-guide too in the DF section. I was wondering about it, not the Dragonoid Saga.

And could you elaborate? I don't really understand.

Bumping is posting in a thread just to move it back up to the list of topics.
Which means you have it exactly. :P

When I say comboed with double-posting, I meant that bumpers often double-post to bump; in other words, the last post on that thread was theirs, and they post again to bring it back up.
Anyways, according to da rulez, you can bring the thread up if you've made a large update and need another review. :P
Good luck on your guide. :D

@forumlogin-Thanks, that was everything I needed to know. Fortunately, I will not need to double-post. Manga Maniac saw to that last summer.

Lock please!

Locked as requested,
