Along with the screenshot contest, which Crimzon provided you, and the Art Museum, which Vivi linked, there are no official AE contests at the moment. Common forum users cannot answer when the next official contest will be.
If you have the urge to compete in a contest, there are some venues in which you can vent your competitivness:
The Unofficial Contests and Games (UCaG) board is a place where users can start their own contests for their fellow forumites to compete in.
The Gallery Battle board is a board where users can mash their art against that of another. In the Gallery Battle board, your peers vote on the two pieces of art to decide which one is best.
If you decide to post in either one of these boards, make sure you read and fully understand the respective rules. Have fun!
