Cataclysm -> AQ and AQW (7/17/2010 13:01:34)

Well, I've been noticing this problem developing a lot more recently. A lot of the new/newer Forum members are asking questions that belong in AQW Q&A or posting suggestions that belong in AQW Suggestions in the AQ Suggestions. This gets to be, at least, an annoyance. Having to constantly show people where the AQW Forums are located can be rather annoying. I don't know how often it used to happen, but I've noticed it happening a lot more lately than it did in the past. My recommendation is that you give the AQ forums and AQW Forums descriptive titles. Something along the lines of

AdventureQuest, AE's first game. Single player, turn-based, with bad puns around every bend. (Not this, this is a rather mediocre description, but something to describe it, at least)

While AQW's description could be expanded on a little bit, just to make it more obvious that it isn't AQ, for those who are new to the forums.

Thanks for bothering to read this, and I do hope that we can resolve the issue.

There already are descriptions for each forum. For AQ suggestions:

quote:

Post all game suggestions here. Submitting ideas does not in any way mean your art, ideas, etc. will be used or included in any way. Any ideas submitted to Artix Entertainment, LLC (AE) are free to be used by AE as desired. Any ideas, art, works, or suggestions submitted to Artix Entertainment, LLC (AE), or a member of, become property of Artix Entertainment, LLC (AE).
Please limit yourself to ONE thread. A few good detailed ideas are better than lots of small/vague ideas. Reading the stickies will help you learn how best to post here.

For AQW Suggestions

quote:

Got an idea for AQWorlds? This is the place to post it!

Sure, it may not be all that detailed, but AQ is a huge difference from AQWorlds. In addition, there are rules stickied on top of each page of the forum, which when members read, which all should, they would figure out whether they are posting in the right forum or not.

Cataclysm -> RE: AQ and AQW (7/17/2010 13:16:43)

I was referring to an "overall" title of the board. AQW's says "Come here to discuss AE's awesome MMO, AQWorlds." Admittedly, that should be enough of a description to steer them where to go, but a lot of them somehow manage to find their way to AQ anyway. A quick little description of just what AQ is, preferably a specific one, like the one they have for MechQuest, should be able to steer them away. I can't honestly see it taking very long to do, although it might. The description for the AQ Suggestions forum doesn't really specify that it's for AQ, either, but a title for the larger area of the board would be very helpful in steering people in the right general direction. I just can't see it hurting anything to give the AQ board a quick, one to two sentence description.

Chii -> RE: AQ and AQW (7/17/2010 13:52:22)

I don't think the description of the forum is to blame for the confusion, really, considering how many people post their AQW suggestions here in Forum Suggestions.

It's something every forumite goes through when they first come here: learning the ropes. It's not something that's likely to change with the description of a board.

Terror Of Dragoons -> RE: AQ and AQW (7/24/2010 0:36:21)

It's how things go, once people join the forums, they look for something to "suggest" their ideas to. Its your basic first day rookie

Fantaholic -> RE: AQ and AQW (8/11/2010 4:37:56)

things will bound to have to change over time and experience
