135 -> Can we post in dead official threads? (7/31/2010 15:08:07)

If an official thread has no new post for a long time, are we allowed to still post in it?

Dead topics are dead but there are threads that have some consideration like the poll thread that captain rhubarb has created in aqw GD.
If the event is over, and there nothing more to post or to share or it hasn't been touched for a long time, you should be posting in it anymore in some cases you will get a warning on for reviving old/dead topics it will get locked eventually if an AK or mod will see it revived.

They are rarely cases when posting in a dead thread would break the rules, and have a warning sent to you. Since this topic is along the lines of "whether or not your spamming", you may want to read this small quote about spamming.
quote:

Bumping a dead thread
As stated here, bumping a dead thread is considered spamming. If your not sure whether or not bumping a certain "=AE=, =DF=, ETC." thread is considered spam or breaching any forum rule agreements, I suggest you contact a AK, or anyone who has the last say on deciding if a thread has lost its usefulness. In my opinion, there is no correct answer since all threads serve a different purpose. I hope I have stated enough information to help you solve this puzzling matter, but another forum official may give his/her 2 cents to this thread.
