«Scene: Floating atop a rock in Isle d'Oriens»

Zorbak: Why exactly are we meeting HERE of all places, Kabroz? You know this sort of thing makes me motion-sick.
Kabroz: For someone with as much innate talent and power as you have, brother...
Zorbak: About time I get the acknowledgment I deserve.
Kabroz: ...As I was saying: For someone with as much innate talent and power as you have, brother, at times you are remarkably stupid. One does not say "no" to this sort of request.
Kabroz: And we're meeting here because it's close enough to observe without getting caught.
Zorbak: Now YOU're being stupid, brother dearest... If you think no one will notice.
Kabroz: Of COURSE they will notice, you dolt. The point is just to delay that notice long enough to do what we need to...
Zorbak: How can you possibly think this will work?
Kabroz: Let me worry about that. I have it worked out. Unfortunately, while I'm clearly the smarter of us, I'll need our combined power to pull this off.
Zorbak: Meh... I still think this is foolish. I don't know how you think this will work, and I don't think how HE could think that, either.
Abode: Enough arguing. I am sick of the fighting. It costs me quite a bit to be here now as it is, especially given the fact that it makes no sense I am here at all. *mumble: or anywhere else*
Abode: Are you necromancers or not?
Zorbak: Why not use one of the necromancers who Falerin already had in his pocket? Like those goody-good Brilhado, for instance.
Abode: Oh? Are they more capable than you are, then?
Kabroz: ... Darn it Zorbak!
Abode: Alright. You can go. I will put in a call...
Kabroz: He didn't mean that! Did you, brother?
Abode: It is clear you are disinterested anyway. Clearly this challenge is too great for the likes of you. I can find others more suited to the task.
Zorbak: Nonono, wait! I didn't say that!
Abode: Given the debts the two of you have incurred, I should think NOT!
Abode: Besides, the Brilhado are already engaged in affairs of their own, and Eldron is seeking Lanfiré Dupre. That, my dear moglins, leaves you two.
Kabroz: Eldron? He was an option?
Abode: Well, if he could slip his restrictions, yes. You might be very surprised just what sorts of magic Eldron "the Good" is "good" at.
Zorbak: But how can...
Abode: The plan does not need to work.
Abode: Your necromancy only needs to interfere with his own attempts. That will be enough for us to transfer it here, and allow Falerin his rest.
Kabroz: Far be it from me to question strange houses with grand plans... but your plot has a major hole in it.
Abode: Oh? And what, pray tell, is that?
Kabroz: Given just who... um, what... this is we are dealing with... Once we stop, he WILL just take it again.
Kabroz: Besides, what makes you think he hasn't already succeeded in his attempt?
Abode: If either of those things are true... then all of your debts will be forgiven shortly, and not just one of them.
Kabroz: *gulp*
Zorbak: Wait... How exactly is that a bad thing?
Kabroz: Because, you dunderhead, there is only one way that such a thing could happen.
Zorbak: Not...? Surely, you can't be serious.
Abode: I am serious... and please, don't call me Shirley.

«The scene fades to black...»
