(ED) Theories of Varium

Inspired by Anoril's study of Gorilliphants and Seedspitters. Thanks, Anoril!

More theories will be added when I think of them, and the current two will be expanded upon when I think of something more to add.

That's very flattering of you, thanks.

Now I've not critiqued anything in a while, nor do I play ED, but i'll do my best.

quote:

a state that requires to food, water, or oxygen.

That's the only typo i found, i think it is 'no' not 'to'.

The style, I quite liked the multiple theories approach as it nods towards the uncertain nature of varium. If anything I think you should come up with some more theories.

I was a little perlexed by you saying varium being the only mineral that grows. You might want to distinquish Varium growing from the growing observed in crystals.

I think you should add in more science stuff, I liked the bit when you referenced the hydrogen bonding in water that causes it to be more dense in liquid form than in solid which is obviously why ice floats. Then the volume/pressure, that was good too. I think you should mention more science-y things. Remember, these are theories and set in a fictional universe which means you can create as much pseudo-science as you like, so long as it seems to make sense then you'll get away with it.

I think also you should reference the effects of varium on people (they turn into Tech Mages?) more.

Thank you for the feedback. I've added three more paragraphs to the Interplannar Theory, and I will definitely be delving more into the cause of Tech Mage syndrome later.

To get a background of the EpicDuel universe, you might want to take a look at =ED= The Storyline. You don't have to read it all, but the powers of a Tech Mage and Baelius' "Project Delta" are explained.

First of all, I thought I would never speak again with this account, until I could redeem my writing and grammar. And second of all, I can't believe I read all of your theories of variums - the pool to the radioative theory - and I never knew you could also write with ease Aci.

I guess I'm offically back in the L&L again. Looking forward for more from you. =D

hm...i think i like your radiation theory best, however, you forgot to mention why it is that varium is stimulated by heat. heres a link you might have overlooked as you gathered your facts.

does epicduels take place in the same galaxy as mechquest? cause i think nova gems and varium might be connected. nova gems are neat little gemstones, while varium looks like freshly taken crystals.

Acient J -> RE: Theories of Varium: Comments (1/2/2011 17:00:34)

No, EpicDuel is completely separate from the world of Lore as it was originally not even a part of BG.
