Khimera -> Disabling Spoiler Tags (9/2/2010 9:08:31)

I'm going to have to be brief as I'm using my phone, which relates to the suggestion I'm putting forward - An option on members' profiles to disable spoiler tags to allow people using phones, such as myself at the moment, to read discussions on recent content. I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement, but it would be a useful feature for all members, especially those who use phones and other methods of browsing without highlighting... And I'll have to shush now, as there's a 512 character limit

What I do is force the browser to show all text using my specified font color only.
In IE, that would be:

TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> Accessibility -> Ignore colors specified on webpages

I've searched through the options available but they're very simplified on my phone's browser. That could be argued as a fault of my phone though, rather than something the forum should allocate for. Of course, your method would affect viewing of other web pages, and some people might not want that, or want to have to change settings just to view the forum.

To be honest, I prefer that on all pages, as some websites use obnoxious color combinations.
You get used to it in a hurry, and can be easily turned off if needed...

How would you do this in other browsers though? I am not sure if it allows this. If so, please tell me how in Chrome.

For Firefox it's:

TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> colors and you *uncheck* the "allow pages to choose their own colors" option

For Chrome, well I think you're outta luck...Don't see any options for that...

If there's no option for Chrome, don't worry. There's a hack for everything in Chrome. And, I mean EVERYTHING.
So, here it is. A few minutes Googling, and ding. Thank gosh Chrome is so fast.

I'm going to try it out now.

EDIT: It allows for changing of fonts and styling too :D

EDIT: Here's the path: Tools > Extensions > Change Colors - Version: 2.144 > Options
