With the avatars, should I resubmit the avatars that I made? Or should I just wait until the forum recovers them?

Seahawk has a copy of all avatars that the forums used, so there is no need to re-submit them.

When I tried to upload my custom avatar again, it still doesn't show up. Am I missing something?

@etching: Try selecting a non-custom avatar that's working first, then re-upload your custom avvy. (Choosing "Don't Display Avatar" probably works too, but I fixed mine just using the first method).
