Zyrain -> The Dynamian Parliament (9/30/2010 14:34:47)

Too long have we been without a place to share our ideas and collaborate to build a better Dynami.
Too long have we whispered in the darkness of the Hive and decided this clans fate.
Citizens of Lore of all ages, gender, and anything else. People of Dynami and Paxia. I present to you:
ORIGINAL: Wikipedia

A parliament is a legislature, especially in those countries whose system of government is based on the Westminster system modeled after that of the United Kingdom. The name is derived from the French parlement, the action of parler (to speak): a parlement is a discussion. The term came to mean a meeting at which such a discussion took place. It acquired its modern meaning as it came to be used for the body of people (in an institutional sense) who would meet to discuss matters of state.
And that's exactly what this thread is, not a council, not a form of government, but a place where we can get together and discuss things, like councils, things like new forms of governments and all the issues we have to out forward, so we as Dynami can strive to better ourselves.

Since we are all quite happy with our Clan leader and the Bylaws in general form.
And now that it is sort of quiet and friendly.

We have a Parliament where we can calmly discuss improvements to the Clan, ideas for the Bylaws and other important ideas.

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/3/2012 19:47:37)

I think we should promote activity on this, we need to stand more united, and have this become active again

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/3/2012 21:39:13)

Good idea, but how?

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/3/2012 21:40:56)

I guess those that are in the AQ forums more frequently could have signatures, or sending PM's things like that

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 15:43:55)

Signatures are only allowed once per page and I think sending out PMs could be considered spam.

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 16:57:35)

Well, if more than one member used them, that'd still bring attention, and I meant sending an occasional PM to some of our members

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:09:34)

What DigDog said. It's nice to see that there are acitve Dynamians on the forums. I missed you guys. Your Punch and Pie however was kept safe in meh belleh.

:P

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:17:05)

Hmm ok Powerpie, but as I see, it's one signature per page per user, so it woudn't be our fault if other members decided to use it. SOrry if I sound too obssesive, I want to give this new life

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:22:45)

I think the only way we could give this new life would be actual content. I mean even if your plan worked and we would get people to check out this place, what's there for them to do here? What would make them stay?

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:26:16)

Preparing for when the new stuff comes out perhaps? And look, the Nocturu clan has 7 pages :O

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:36:46)

Preparing for new stuff? We did that the past 3 years. Didn't work. You see where we ended up. Right where we are now.

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 19:40:52)

Ok, sorry was just tryinng to help [:(]

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 22:15:44)

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring you down. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your input and I'm glad not everyone has given up yet, but we'd have to come up with something better if we want to get this place back up. Like I said, we've been trying a lot these past three years and yet people left sooner or later.

If you ask me, there's not much we can do until the AQ team actually adds new Paxia content. You can only keep people interested for a while until they realize that all they can do in Paxia is attack or defend to change some numbers that have no effect on anything ingame whatsoever.

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 22:50:30)

Perhaps if we launched a suggestion regarding Paxia, like perphas, turning it into a risk like battle map and mixing it with the states system?

DigDog -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 23:31:03)

You mean like the Paxia Ultimate Conquest? http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=20325749

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/4/2012 23:47:55)

We can loosen up regs on teh forums, if you remember the pet threads for example. We got a feedback thread up in the CH&G discussion area if you want to give more input.

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/9/2012 22:24:51)

It's ironic that we are the clan based on teamwork and we have, for what I have seen, the least active members :P. Also, what forusm should I join, the hive or the Paxia forums? If it's the latter, could you give me a link to it?

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/9/2012 22:35:01)

The link is in the FAQ thread. See if you can get them to come back to Paxia if they still care about the AEFs please. :P

Mortarion -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (6/9/2012 22:40:36)

I'll do my best Sir. *salutes* And I coudn't find hte link to the Paxia Forums in the FAQ, only to the hive, were I already made an account

Zyrain -> RE: The Dynamian Parliament (7/15/2012 15:45:37)

My apologies, Mortarion, I forgot to add the Paxia private forums to the FAQ thread.
Here is a link to them, and I'll add it to the FAQ now. :)
Sorry for the late reply, I did see this thread on my phone as the posts were made but I've basically been without a computer since April and stil don't have full access.

King Helios -> Diplomatic Application Thread (1/5/2013 18:47:36)

Hello Dynami! I think that in order to keep up a good relationship with other clans, we should have a select group of diplomats to represent us. Please, fill out this form if you wish to become a diplomat.

Character Name:
Forum Name:
Dynami Character: (must have at least one) (ID)
Clans Associated With: (e.x. If you wish to communicate with Aerodu and Igneus, write their names. Max of 5 other clans.)
Do/did you have a title?: (Creative! Helpful!, AK, etc.)

You are not allowed to talk about banned members or their bans in the past. ~Pie

Thank you Dynami!

Ultrapowerpie -> RE: Diplomatic Application Thread (1/5/2013 19:12:11)

Post merged with parliament as this is the "government" thread for Dynami.

Zyrain -> RE: Diplomatic Application Thread (1/5/2013 19:21:01)

While this is a good, or nice, idea to form relationships with other clans through representatives, especially to ease frictions caused by certain ultimate conquests, Dynami (unlike the other seven Paxian clans) is not a form of government, so having council-like representatives would go against our Bylaws.

However.

This is (or at least is now, thanks to Pie) the Dyanmian Parliament thread. So we can delve into your ideas and discuss whether your suggestion could be implemented into our clan or not.

King Helios -> RE: Diplomatic Application Thread (1/5/2013 19:39:27)

Well, I think we should has a form of government, personally.

Zyrain -> RE: Diplomatic Application Thread (1/5/2013 19:56:27)

The concept of Dynami being transformed into a government has been proposed many times, including by myself:

quote:

The system begins to crumble.

Around the end of August in 2007, talks began to replace the Direct Democrazy system with a Council-based system which was used in most of the other clans (if not all). The Clan Head at the time, Ramirez, was forced to open the issue for debate as members of the clan were pushing for the change. However in the end, the voting on the issue resulted in Direct Democrazy prevailing, once again keeping Dynami different.
quote:

One more time, I'm going to try and change Dynami.

In June 15th of 2010, the issue of bringing forth a Council-based system for Dynami was brought up again, this time by Zyrain, stating that there would be benefits for the clan and Clan Head if such a system would be placed. However, as stated by Tuss, "I hardly do anything. As Clan Head anyway". Perhaps the best way to sum up thoughts on the matter would be what DigDog said, "Let's let the actions speak, not the titles." With what low active member base Dynami had, it simply was not worth it to change the system anytime soon, which has stayed that way to this day.

Taken from The Dynami Encyclopedia.

Though I'd personally like to see a form of government implemented, I doubt it ever will. The others detest the idea. Besides, we are a small, if not the smallest, clan in Paxia and we'd need a lot of active members to be able to create a steady and functioning government.

The diplomatic structure of our clan seems to work for us, and all the time it does, I find it hard to believe that the other Dynamians will change their mind. Of course, nothing is to say that you can't re-open the issue for debate.
