The groups are listed here. For example: Shreder is a member of the Archknight's group, Archknights L&L, Archknights DF EC/Battle Strategy and Archknights AQW Q&A, as listed here.
To join a group, you must qualify for the what the groups does. The Debate Club debates, the RPers RP. You can join a group by applying, but getting into moderation positions requires selection.. which means you cannot apply.
The Approved Artist position was removed when the gallery was revamped. That means all members can now post in the gallery. So you're unable to apply for approved artist.
