I got a pop up saying "Take the battleon quiz and earn 100,000,000 coins free!" The url was set to a battleon website, is it ligit? (I got it on the forums and on Battleon.com)

That sounds more than slightly suspicious. I would be scanning your computer for spyware right about now.

I've got on multiple computers now, its kinda odd, like itlooks ligit, with logos and everything.. but ..well yeah, maybe I should alert the staff?

Can you figure out the address on the pop-up without clicking it or actually accessing any website it links to? I have extreme doubts that it's one of ours. There hasn't been a word in our forums about running any kind of quiz contest.

We've had something like this before, so I suspect it's probably from the same company. Took a bit for me to find the last example of it- it was from pchprize4you and was definitely not one of ours. Sometimes spyware and adware companies will scout out popular sites and use their logos and images to make their pop-ups look legitimate.

Definitely not one of ours. Since you're getting this as a pop-up, I'd still recommend a virus/spyware scan ASAP.

I've already done so and tracked the pop-up to its origin, which was definitely not on our site, to say the least.

Just that any time anyone offers you a prize or reward in return for personal information, don't trust it.
