Master Account for Forums? (Full Version)

Hey, I was thinking, what if we logged into the forums with our Master Account? Think about it, on the side bar (Where it shows the posters Picture and info) It would show their User name, below that their picture, then their Master Account, below that it would have links to they're character info) I think it could work fine! It would be quite nice in my opinion!

Don't just brush it off, think about it for abit.

I think it's just a little too extraneous of a feature. It doesn't provide much other than a central hub so people don't have to manually link each character, but the problem with that is the coders are incredibly busy. Implementing a non-essential feature is probably the last thing they want to do.

Eventually, though, I think it would be a nice idea. Just not at the moment.

I think you mis understood me, The accounts would already be linked to gather due to our master accounts. Essentially it would be swapping our Forum accounts for our Master accounts.

I see a benefit in this. Your forum display name can be separate from your forum log-in. For example, suppose my master account was called "025" (it's not). I could log into the forums with 025 and be displayed as "Acient J." No one could attempt to take my account my guessing my password because they would need my master account and my password.

There is another reason I think master account log-ins should be confidential:

Unfortunately, if this is implemented it won't be until far down the road and not without a lot of planning and work by the coders. It's definitely something we've talked about so take comfort in the fact that you're not the only one thinking about this.

However, there's really no point in discussing it, since it's already been noted but will take significant to implement if that's the route we decide to go. Thanks!
