ImmolatusBurn -> My suggestions for the Forums (11/9/2010 3:08:29)

My suggestions:
1. An off-topic board (for totally non-sense ideas, birthday celebrations, announcements, etc.)
1: Be able to upload an avatar of your own.
2: More avatar pics.
3: Be abble to design your own page for others to visit.
4: More mods (or the old ones will do if they come here).

That's all I have for now, but I may have more later, if this was allowed here.

Changed the title to prevent more problems. -Kain

quote:

3) "Why can't everybody have a custom avatar?"

First, practically speaking, storage space can be tight sometimes. We have a lot of posts in the database, and a lot of members.
Second, speaking on policy, custom avatars are a privilege used to denote status. They are given either to those who are helpful or creative or to those who volunteer their time.
Third, aesthetically speaking, we have made the decision that all of our publicly-available avatars would be based on the Artix Entertainment games. This is an Artix Entertainment forum. If you're not satisfied with the choices, submit your own AE-related avatars or earn the privilege to upload your own.

Taken from the =AE= Frequently Asked Questions topic, stickied on top of this board. This excerpt explains why the extension of custom avatar privileges for everyone is not a feasible idea. As for more avatars to choose from, you can always send any AE related avatars to Seahawk, as per #2 of the previously linked FAQ.

The issue of more moderators is a tougher one, both global and local. Indeed, there has been an expansion of the ArchKnights over the past few years to keep up with the growing number of boards around here, so rest assured that those deserving of promotions will receive them. The higher-ups are always on the constant look-out for those worthy of such an honor. :)

For number 1, there is the OCC Room for that.

The Forgotten -> RE: Random suggestions (11/9/2010 3:51:18)

#3 is easily solved by creating an off-site profile page on a social networking site. As long as the content is permitted by forum rules, you can link to it from here.
