Spoiler tags are generated by placing [spoiler][/spoiler] tags around what you wish to put in the box.

For example,

[spoiler]Hello.[/spoiler]

becomes

spoiler:

Hello.

It isn't up in the bar where there is quote, link, etc. You physically have to type 
[spoiler] <insert text>[/spoiler]
