Xendran -> ED Suggestions Area (11/22/2010 10:26:17)

Since the other thread was locked i can't post my new idea.

I think there should be a thread for combination suggestions. I have a single suggestion that incorporates every single category of the suggestions section except fort one. I was asked to pm my suggestions directly to a mod/admin however i would like to be able to post it for people to see and PM me about as well as being able to edit it in a post format.

Although the absolute best option would be this:

A suggestions section that is unable to be replied to, but only new threads can be made.
Each person can have one thread, and edit it with their suggestions.
Under the suggestions section would be a sub-forum for Suggestion Discussion, where people can discuss suggestions.
This allows players to have large suggestion threads with multiple suggestions that incorporate one another with the ability to edit it as well as making it easier for other people to search for specific suggestions or specific people's suggestions, as well as making it so discussion would be allowed without the developers having to read through it. It alo makes it so that the devs do not have to read through an entire thread to see if a suggestion post was edited, as individual threads can have a datestamp in the thread title.

This would be much more forumite-friendly and much easier to manage and moderate.

tl;dr:
What i want if nothing can be changed: A combination suggestion thread
What would be optimal: One suggestion thread per person, and one discussion thread per person in a suggestions discussion subforum
Result: Happier players, more efficient management, more efficient sorting, easier for developers to read.

Personally I like the format you suggested and I believe it could work, as long as there is a way to tell if a person has edited something new into their thread.

Since the ED Boards are fairly young at this time changes can be made if they are needed, but these decisions are ultimately up to the Head Mod of the board(s) in question and the Forum Head Administrator.

If you really want your suggestion to be considered I suggest you PM Misery, she heads ED Suggestions.
