i think we should add a like button on to post the end of peoples post as long as a dislike button i think it would be good making the forum more social and such

It's been stated before that the forums aren't intended to be a popularity contest. While it would be interesting to have a (dis)like button, the potential ramifications offset any benefits.

  • Flaming and begging over the # likes a post gets.
  • Trolling
  • Spam posts being made.

I don't see this as an easy function to add, either.

I think the staff could make great uses of such statistics. I understand that every feature comes with disadvantages, and I believe the possibility of being able to see what a general population of forumites think and agree on, rather than an exclusive few, would help AE better serve their players. That feature would clearly do more good than the spam that is to come.

If I could, I'd like this idea! [;)]

It's highly unlikely that this feature will be added for everyone, if anyone.. It encourages Flaming/Spamming.
It'd be nice to have this feature for AK's/Mods/Admins ONLY.. :)
