is it against the rules to have more than one picture in your sig if combined they are not larger than the required file size and 500 long 100 wide limit?

It's not against the rules, but it must be in the signature size limit. Other then that, you're fine. :) Edit: For additional information there is a ' Detailed Signature Guide' that could guide you, if you are having trouble.
