It's called a signature. It can be 500x100 pixels or less. To get one, you can search for one on Google or request from one of the request shops here. For the code, it's usually:

Or if you wanted to add an appropriate link:
[link=http://[Desired URL Here]][image][Image Link Here][/image][/link]
When you send a message, simply click the "Add signature" check box below the text box.
Mine is below, which I applied by selecting the add signature box. Army, I know it's 499x99 pixels. <_<
