EFFECT
When you first equip the pet, a head will be randomly selected, giving the pet various effects. The head will stay for the rest of the fight, and won't change if you try to re-select the pet. The heads are:
Twig, Valencia, Robina, Aria, Drakonnan and Rhubarb
  • Element:
    • Twig: Ice
    • Valencia: Energy
    • Robina: Wind
    • Aria: Light
    • Drakonnan: Fire
    • Rhubarb: Water
  • Damage: 2-7 plus 93.2% Stats each

    Galanoth
  • Element: Earth
  • Damage: 2-7 plus 93.2% Stats each
  • Trigger: Against monster category "dragon" the pet deals 143% Void damage. Against monster categories "drakel" and "dragonkin" the pet deals 110% Harm damage. Against anything else, the pet deals 90% damage.

    Safiria
  • Element: Darkness
  • Damage: 1-4 plus 62.2% Stats each
  • Effect: Heals the player by 50% of the damage dealt.

    Warlic
  • Element: Weakness seeking
  • Damage: 2-5 plus 74.6% Stats each

    Aquella
  • Element: Water or Energy, whichever the monster is weaker to
  • Damage: 2-6 plus 83.9% Stats each

There is a 5% chance of choosing the "right" head for a battle:
  • Against Dragons, the chosen head is always Galanoth.

  • Against Dragonkin and Drakel:
    • If [MonsterHarmResist]*1.1 is higher than any of the other resistances of the monster, the chosen head is Galanoth.
    • If [MonsterEarthResist]*0.8 is higher than any of the other resistances of the monster, the chosen head is Warlic.
    • Otherwise, the pet chooses an appropriate head based on the monster's greatest weakness(es).

  • Against anything else:
    • If [MonsterEarthResist]*0.9 is higher than any of the other resistances of the monster, the chosen head is Galanoth.
    • Otherwise, the pet chooses an appropriate head based on the monster's greatest weakness(es).

In cases where multiple of the above options are equal, the order of appropriate heads is Galanoth, Warlic, Twig, Rhubarb, Valencia, Safiria, Robina, Aria, Drakonnan.

DESCRIPTION
This box has a toy version of both friends and enemies! While usually random, it sometimes selects the right NPC to help you! (Warning: The toys are stubborn.)

Analysis

Starts out as a standard Beastmaster pet, which is 6-18 damage plus 253% Stats, with 9 BTH. Since there are 3 hits, each hit deals 33.(3)% damage.

To compensate for the randomly chosen element (head), the pet deals 110.55% damage. This is half of the usual "all elements" multiplier, as you can still switch out the pet as soon as you find out what element it is.

The effects of the different heads are as follows:
  • Twig, Valencia, Robina, Aria, Drakonnan and Rhubarb all deal 100% damage, with their own element.
  • Safiria deals 66.(6)% damage and heals by 50% of the damage dealt (which translates to 33.(3)% damage, making it a total of 100%).
  • Warlic deals 80% damage to compensate for the weakness seeking.
  • Aquella deals 90% damage to compensate for seeking weakness between two elements.

The Mastercraft bonus gives the pet 5% chance of choosing an appropriate head.
