The PvP system is great , skill tree , weps , improving character , classes , stats they are the most important things in an online game and ED has them all

^ I dont mean the Balance issue , i meaned The system makes players battle with each other , turn based PvP , graphics , choseing your skills , useing (aux ,gun , strike) , Unlimited strategies.

AE isnt the main reason , my first AE game was Dragonfable and after i saw epicduel i didnt played DF anymore and played ED . ED has something special that makes me want to play , other games seem not enough when i compare them with ED

ED has more than 2k players just thast what you see online at a time and thin about it all over teh world people are playing so when when logs off another replaces it it stays steady at 2k(sometimes higher on weekends)

but AE really gave this game a life back when i joined in Decmeber you had one full server that are some times in teh day was almost empty now you basicly have 2 full servers all day long(back when i joined Doom was the hot server)

AQW PVP takes more skills than ED pvp.
and i know because i had PVPed in both.


overall ED only became popular because of AE
if not, gamal would still to this day be botting the wins and shooting EMP grenades when we are already out of energy.
(yes he shot an EMP grenade at me when i had no energy left, and whenever i would fight him i would say hi but he would never reply, not to mention his attack patterns were always the same)
so yeah i think AE has helped ED alot

@IsaiahtheMage: That's still a big increase from what it was just a few months ago. You regularly have both Epic and Exile filling up on the weekends and now Epic is full almost 24/7 every day of the week.

Joining AE definitely played the biggest part in it. I think the forum merge even helped a bit since it a lot of the forum goers went to ED when a new forum popped up here.

And plus there's a lot more fluff features now so there are more reasons to stick around in-game when you're not dueling.

@goldslayer: I say ED is for the more mature-minded while AQW advertise on kids. Hence the cartoon network ad.

It has become somewhat popular because of AE and it is the only free pvp rpg game

I have to disagree, in AQW you just double-click on something and wait for one person to die, which isn't skill, the only skill I see in that is being able to move the mouse and click. While in ED you have to come up with a strategy and use your attacks wisely which I think is more of a skill than AQW.

Otherwise, as many have said before me said ED has become for popular due to the AE merge.
Another one is the shirts, once several people start wearing their EpicDuel shirts people will be interested or curious, hence the name of the game and not just a Gamma bot or something like that. In other words advertisement, which is a plus in ED's book :)

u only played it like an normal person who doesn't understand pvp, would.
