EMP Grenade... quite frankly it is the best EMP Draining skill in the game because it is unblockable. Even if it can be weakened by a Mage's Malfunction ( although it is pointless to use EMP on a Mage ) the fact that it does have a 100% chance to hit does put it on another level compared to the others.

To be honest, just plain nerfing it isn't a good idea. Buffing the other skills is better. With decent strength Atom Smasher is more useful as it costs hardly any energy and can take away alot of energy, its still a risk as it can be blocked. Assimilation should get a little boost, to be honest, maybe up to 15 or 20 at max since it is a 4th tier skill after all.

@ nebula: heal looping still exist with mages so EMP also stops them too.

@Edwardvulture True, but really rather than causing a 1 - 2 turn diversion I would think it would be more beneficial for a Bounty Hunter to save energy for Energy Shield or Field Medic. That's just me, though.

It is not fair to compare EMP with Atom Smasher and Assimilation. The entire skill tree must be taken into account. Mercs are naturally damage-dealers. Bounty Hunters are the nerf-your-opponent, buff-yourself type players. And mages are more defensive and do not usually rely on strikes. It is not fair to give Mercs and mages EP-draining skills on par with EMP grenade. Using the same argument a whole lot of other skills would have to be buffed or nerfed.
