Tribal_bob -> This is getting annoying. (2/9/2011 2:50:24)

Ok, Well when im posting to answer questions I ALWAYS get "Don't post 2 consecutive posts in such a short amount of time" even when its 2 minutes since I last posted.
I keep trying to post to a answer but I keep getting the message, by the time it posts they asked for a lock.
I know this stops Spam but is there a way to fix this?

Well, the AE team wonīt fix something that isnīt broken, you know! [:)]

There is absolutely no need to change it, if someone requested a lock he was satisfied with the given answers, if you think an answers was wrong you can PM the thread owner the correct answer! [;)]

For example the DF Q&A area: if someone requests a lock after only wrong given answers, I donīt lock the thread, I do mention the answers where wrong, post the correct answer and then I do lock! [:)]

Armakuny, that wasn't the question. He's asking about the flood control timer that prevents you from posting until 60 seconds after your last post.

The thing is, most questions require that you take more than 60 seconds of your time thinking about and reading the question to provide a good answer to the thread poster; thus, the flood control serves a dual purpose. As Army said, no need to fix what isn't broken.

Well I do think I answered his question and I did know the topic!

The original question was (the on with the question mark:
quote:

I know this stops Spam but is there a way to fix this?

I answered:
quote:

the AE team wonīt fix something that isnīt broken

= I donīt think I gave a wrong answer neither did I miss the topic

And he said because of the flood control timer he wasnīt able to post before the lock was requested = I took his example!

Anyway
1. The AE team wonīt change the time limit of flood control timer
2. Others canīt change the time limit of flood control timer
3. Even if they could they wouldnīt do it, because its got its reasons or would you create square wheels because you donīt like the round ones?
