How do I increase my rage rate? You need support. How do I increase my auxiliary power? You need support. How do I get a first turn? Sup-

Yes, we get it. Support affects about more than half of the games battle attributes. Is this why this is the most abused stat in the game? Why doesn't EpicDuel make a new stat but make it luck since that's basically what support controls. Do you think support should be the stat leading the game?

let me drop some facts here

Support-Aux damage, chance of crit, chance of stun, attack first, heal, most used stat for skill increase with


im sure i missed some things but support is the only stat that you could literely live off of it has attack heal and shield all in one(shield for mages)

:D yes it also increase rage rate , the missed thing.But for all these effects only Support abuser Mercs can count Succesfull.

Support is indeed a STRONG stat.

I personally feel that auxiliary damage and healing be affected by resistance. A Support stat has always been about luck and when the developers allowed it to effect "hardware" it messed up the game's balance.

@Lotus Healing be affetecd by tech?100% No.That would allow people to be able to lower someones healing abilities nope not at all.Not to mention TM would be able to have really strong robots and auxes.

Maybe I was being a bit over zealous about the Field Medic, however, Support SHOULD NOT effect Auxiliary damage.

@Above yeah I kinda agree because auxes cant even be nerfed like Primary,sidearm and robot thats why Support mercs are so OPed you cant weaken any of their major stats.

Field Medic already has Tech as its requirement. It wouldn't make sense to switch it to improve with support.

It would be more appropriate if the only skills affected by support were "support" skills (ie: Field Medic, Defense Matrix, Technician, Field Commander, Reflex Boost, Energy Shield). Offensive abilities like Malfunction, Intimidate or Artillery Strike should be moved to a different stat other than Support.

This would shift Support builds away from being the high damage builds that they are now to being more tank-like.

As for reducing the effectiveness of Support without switching around every skill, I have a simple and comical solution: Remove the first strike bonus. First strike is one of the most powerful mechanics in a duel right now, and with fast rage (again thanks to Support) and high auxiliary damage, this gives Support builds the advantage of a high-damage unblockable attack very early in the duel. As for how to decide first strike, I don't think think any stat should affect the chance to go first. Actually I think the mechanic should be changed so that we are responsible for who goes first instead of making it random chance.

My idea is simple: Every duel starts out with a quick game of Rock-Paper-Scissors and the winner gets to go first.
Who says we don't need a little humor in between the bloodbaths? [;)]

Or why not have Titan implement a booster/grenade that debuffs support? 100 credits sounds reasonable? That way we won't have to worry about which class gets the support-debuff skill. Just implement it into a grenade. They should add 1 extra slot in battle for it for a total of three items slots: For a health pack, an energy pack, and a support grenade.

Lotus i agree Aux shouldnt be on Support becuase support by difination is help and a bazooka is a technical machine of destruction wielded by one man(i see no help in that description do you) however i did see teh word technical which is technology

better tech at your disposial the better bazooka you could make so it would make since that bazooka improves with tech

@Ashari EXCELLENT IDEA![:D]That is one of the best I heard all day defensive skills like techinan,DM,Reflex boost,ES, and field commander(Actually a support skill) should all improve with support including field medic aswell.That way no one can ever weaken your own support skills.All the others excluding passives should improve with STR,Tech and Dex so they all can be buffed and debuffed.

First Strike should be in Support or Tech , some of the STR builds imposible to stop when they start the battle , it will be unfair if we give First strike advantage to a rock-paper game.

@Ashari: That sounds like a great idea. Although I think weaker Players should still get to Attack first. Maybe the order should be completely random.

Anyway, has anyone battled in 2v2 lately? Because I still see a ton of Support Mercs. Maybe I need more Support to counter them, but ATM, I can't afford to move any of my Stat Points to Support.

Sure, you could argue that the other Passives are free Stat Points. But if you think about it, other Passives are limited. Shadow Arts is an all or nothing Skill. A Deadly Aim boosted Gun has a Cooldown. Reroute and Blood Lust... well, they're limited by the way you or your opponents play.

What ever happened to creativity? I'm sick of seeing the same dumb Support Builds, over and over again.

Am I the only one who's noticed that Mercs are the best at spamming Support?
