With new 5% Crit for AB weapon, I think it's quite new and quite random, but also very interesting. Do u think that every items (include gun armor aux...depend on your options) should have extra "special" effect? What should the amount be to balance the game?

I just think ED don't have much items and with wiki you can surely find some items better than other. With special on all weapon (non special weapon have better stat base) we can chose many kinda of build and set fit the style of play. Also it's better when you can carry many weapons with many different special, make rare collecting and such become better.

So what about u? You think special should become a frequent part of game?

I would rather see constant special effects instead of those that increase CHANCE of something happening.

Having special effects in weapons is a very good feature indeed, but I don't think every weapon/item in game should have one.

Keep it to primaries. -.-

I'm open to the idea, maybe things like +5% stun chance, +1% bloodlust rate, +2% block rate, +2% Initiative chance, and possibly +5% spell damage for mages would all be interesting weapon special effects.

Adding this to sidearm, armor, and aux however would just be problematic. If we only give boosts to primaries, every player could only get one of the above boosts, varying with their weaponry. Overall that would make it a minor but interesting new strategic element to the game.

No. this game is based on enough luck already, also, non-variums should not be left out if this happens.

Maybe if its a % increase DIRECTLY to a stat BUT NOT to luck factors this game is already luck based enough.Like a 5% increase to bloodlust or hybrid armor or reruote or even HP and EP.And when those weps come plz be non varium lvl 30 and plus and release some good weps for the lower levels to.

Well, what I mean that every weapon has special (pretty much like AQ) if everything has special (with some stat balance) then luck will be balanced somehow

and yeah... there' only one weapon with special already

and it is a must for weapon special equal to stat

it was dragonfable came with add 5% Crit and it was dragonfable again come with class change.they were also first to have PVP . then mechquest Evolution it to only star captains. In other words epicduel copy idea from AE games. only 6 thing came with by there was you can change your name. win flags and win achievement be able go against other faction. make new skills that were not use before. try way make class not to over power other. buy aux and guns as well bikes. robots are almost same as pets only different is reduce malfunction and smoke and strength as well get cool off.

@Mir - No. Epicduel didn't copy everything from AE games. Do you really think Dragonfable was the first game in history to have PvP? EpicDuel is based around PvP, you can't honestly think that Titan and Nightwraith based their entire game off a feature in DragonFable. The only reason this game has Class Change is because player whined about it constantly, although it probably would have happened eventually, it doesn't mean that they copied it from AE games just because an AE game has that feature.


I don't agree with this, I don't even think that Azrael's Bane should have a 5% crit bonus. It just makes people more dependant on luck.

I never said just dragonfable also said mechquest. for class change came out 1 year b4 epicdeul and player vs player came out in 2006 for dragonfable. I also mention 6 things were there idea. for future please read it instead of skip lines.

@Mirv I didn't skip lines. Dragonfable PvP came before MechQuest PvP, so I decided only to mention DF since you were saying ED was copying from AE games in general, as if you think they're the only games to ever have PvP.

Adding a +5% CRIT rate to an item isn't really a special effect as much as a buff.

What I would rather see is an actual special attack, more along the lines of the Blade Of Awe in AdventureQuest.
Tell me, who wouldn't love to see "Power Word Die!" occur and wipe out your foe in one hit!
Or steal their mana or HP? Now there is an OPed weapon I would pay for.

^ SPECIALS!!!! That's it! That's what would make very item unique! BOA is amazing with tons of specials and maybe we coud use it but lower the chances a bit?

I would gladly pay 10k varium for BOA with only 1 of its specials! [:D]

I don't think this would be a good idea. If it was applied to all items, then as already said; you would become more reliant on luck, which only ruins battles.

TBH in an arena full of Titans with high level weapons and armors and wondrous stats, luck is the great equalizer. The reason it is so hated is precisely why it is so valuable to a game like this. It evens the playing field. It's the "on any given day" scenario, on any given day any random player can defeat even the mightiest of us. That makes it hated by the haves and desired by the have nots. :P
